Basically Nothing

Really not that great of a documentary. Which sucks cause it's a pretty crazy case if you know it! But honestly this doc was...boring.

There was almost no information on the actual case, I know at the time of its making there were no arrests. But it still could've been soooo much better.

It felt cheesy being narrated by what sounded just like a news anchor. The witnesses being interviewed provided nothing but character for the girls. The whole format was just boring and cheesy and felt like an extended dateline. I can't believe there was even two episodes. Everything could've been fit into a 10 minute YouTube videos.

Just Google it

I don't know who narrated this thing, but his voice is terrible. Odd inflections, over-dramatizing.

This is typical true crime pablum. Why even have the limited re-enactments? SO unnecessary.

I realize that this was made for HLN, and thus the cheesy technique.

So much repetition. They should re-edit non-broadcast versions of some of this stuff, cutting out the dumbing-down aspect. This could easily have been a one-hour presentation.

I am trying to find something else to say...don't waste your time. About 90% of the true-crime stuff on streaming is drivel. Broadcast TV filler. Why is this nearly four year-old TV series just dropping on Max? I pay for better stuff.

Sound and music awful

At key points, there is overwhelming and very loud piano music. I would fast forward to get past it. Then the music would start back up a couple of minutes later. The further into the episode you go, the music continues to be overbearing. Maybe it is because this show is based on a podcast. I've noticed this happens a lot in podcasts. I finally gave up on watching and could not finish the first episode. I heard this story on an episode of Crime Junkies and wanted to see a more in depth review of the case. It is too bad they couldn't resist the temptation of including dramatic music at EVERY opportunity.

Repeats Well Known Info For $$
There's no new info offered here or even tailored into a new way to bring up interest, and presented in such a cheap ID way.

To top it off, unless you subscribe to Hulu Live, you won't be able to watch it, which seems awfully maniacal if your only goal is to bring awareness to the case and find the murderer.

I have to wonder if these families were aware when this was brought to their attention- I doubt it. But it seems typical of CNN, the network still employing Chris Cuomo despite his brother and the pay to play nonsense he participated in.
