An excellent second series
Just finished watching the second series, which is as good as the first imo. Excellent suspenseful plot and great cast. Many twists and turns before the big reveal.
Well worth seeing.

Episode 2.1
Set in the Lake District but shot in the Republic of Ireland.
Series 2 of Innocent returns with a brand new story and set of characters.
Sally Wright (Katherine Kelly) a former teacher is released from prison after 5 years for the murder of a 16 year old schoolboy she reputedly had an affair with.
With Sally out of prison thanks to some new evidence. The police have to reopen the murder investigation and also question witnesses who might have lied.
As for Sally she has to rebuild her life, even though some people still think she is guilty.
Her husband has moved on, he divorced her and is with a new partner.
There are already several suspects lined up in the first episode. A few people might also be telling fibs which adds to the puzzle.
However it was a stretch that Sally could just think that she could get a job as a teacher in her old school. That was just too silly and contrived.

A great start.
Found to be not guilty, Sally Wright is released from Prison after serving five years for murdering one of her pupils, Sally cows to get her life back.
Absolutely brilliant, this is the best thing ITV have put out for quite some time. After being somewhat disappointed with Viewpoint, this saw a real return to form for the channel.
Katherine Kelly, ok, I have to say this, if there's a drama on ITV, I expect to see her in it, low and behold, she gets another lead, rightly so, she's majorly talented.
Amazing location work, the landscape looks sublime, great camera work too.
All on all, first part, loved it, 9/10.

Superior to the usual ITV drama
I wasn't expecting much as l sat down with the crossword but was pleasantly surprised that from start to finish l was thoroughly hooked. Katherine Kelly never disappoints and plays the part of a wrongly charged murderer
with a quiet determination to clear her name, whilst the villagers are getting rattled and you begin to think a number of them could be guilty. Looking forward to tomorrow night and am willing her to get back all she lost except perhaps her wimpy ex husband.
