A very small crew went to shoot in Thailand. Everybody worked tirelessly for 9 days as they filmed back to back with virtually no sleep. This resulted in the team (the directors in particular) actually having a fight before the big fight scene they had to film on the beach.
Filming started on the 28th of November 2019 in Thailand. When it was time to shoot the Karachi spell, the coronavirus had spread across the world, causing countries everywhere to impose a lockdown. The team was unable to shoot until almost six months later. Clickbait was released roughly a year later in December of 2020 since it first started filming.
The team had to fly to Phuket but missed their flight at the last moment, resulting in expanding their already tiny budget.
