If you’re familiar with Graham Reznick’s work for Glass Eye Pix—and we’re not talking his debut feature I Can See You or mindbending short, The Viewer, but his day job of exceptional sound design on films like The House Of The Devil—you can easily get excited about his participation in the company’s quality on-line throwback to old-fashioned radio dramas, Tales From Beyond The Pale. A spooky series of audio horror tales premiering each Tuesday since this past October, Tales has showcased some of the genre’s most outstanding talents, among them J.T. Petty, Simon Rumley and even Glass Eye head Larry Fessenden. Reznick’s “The Grandfather” airs today, and its creator spoke to Fango about the recording the episode, its origins and why it may circumvent expectations.

Filmmaker Graham Reznick made his directorial debut with 2004's The Woman Who Split Before Dinner, but it was his follow-up film I Can See You – about a photo shoot in the woods that goes horribly awry – that made a splash with critics and garnered a fair amount of praise for the indie filmmaker. Reznick's follow-up short, The Viewer, a cerebral 3-D experiment, making its theatrical debut tonight in Los Angeles at the Downtown Independent (tickets can be purchased here). Reznick was kind enough to give me some time this week, and share his thoughts on the challenge of doing 3-D of a modest budget, on his ongoing work with Ti West, and on his plans to expand The Viewer into the feature-length The...

Director: Graham Reznick.
Writer: Graham Reznick.
The Viewer is a thriller short that has been added to the I Can See You DVD package and this 3-dimensional dramatic piece stands out in several ways. The short is visually stunning in 3-D and computer animated graphics. The story puts the viewer in the role of a mysterious murderer and the picture overall is very intriguing from beginning to end.
This Glass Eye Pix is the best one to date and The Viewer is a must see from the I Can See You DVD release date. Hypnotic, surreal, and almost fully immersible into the cinematic experience The Viewer must be picked up by those looking for something completely, unique and creative. Besides, who does not love seeing a stripper in 3-D?
A short synopsis for The Viewer here:
"The Viewer is a telepathic interrogation told from the perspective of a suspected murderer.

The folks over at Glass Eye Pix sent along word that the DVD for the company’s hallucinatory chiller I Can See You will not be coming out via Cinema Purgatorio next week as planned. The success of the movie’s theatrical run in New York City has led Kino International to snap up the disc release rights.
According to the Glass Eye team, “While we are eager to get the film out to the fans, we couldn’t refuse the opportunity to get the film into a pipeline that would ultimately reach a wider audience. Keep your eyes peeled for more theatrical playdates leading up to our DVD street date in time for Halloween.”

Graham Reznick, resident sound designer for the films of Larry Fessenden’s Scareflix line, has stepped up to the plate and written, directed, produced and edited his own feature film, I Can See You. Opening this week at New York City’s Cinema Purgatorio and arriving on DVD May 26 (joined in both showcases by Reznick’s 3-D short The Viewer), it is without a doubt one of the most intriguing and well-crafted low-budget horror films in recent memory.
