Joe is 65, enjoying life, enjoying it too much, too much food and too much drink, his well meaning daughter gets him sessions with a Personal Trainer for his birthday.
A few minutes in, and I thought it was going to be the customary middle, daft episode, I didn't think I'd enjoy it, however, as it went on, this was the best of the three so far.
Take it one way or the other, you'll either see it as a heavy handed message, worthy of a BBC Get Active advert, or you can see a far fetched story, of a man trying to turn his life around. Personally I'd like to think the latter.
A few light moments, and a reminder of just how incredibly likeable Les Dennis is, I'd be glad to see him appear in a gritty drama, he's more than capable. Aaron Cobham, I became a big fan during The Spanish Princess, the guy is excellent.
The scene where he jumped out of bed bad me in hysterics, as if! Can you imagine feeling that good after exercise?
There was an important message here though, especially post lock down, so many have stayed home, sat down, ate and drank, binge watched series, now's the time get active.
Really enjoyable, 8/10.
