Skopelos island, Greece, 1936. On a wintry Sunday afternoon, a grandfather recounts the tale of Icarus to his two granddaughters. But nothing compares to the exciting story of the fearsome tiger in their living room.
Inspired by local stories, Melia dreams of being an author and starts creating emotional stories in her mind. Then, cheerful Uncle Nikos arrives at the island, having lots to tell his nieces.
After the sudden visit of the prefect and the honorary consul of the Netherlands in Skopelos, Nikos decides to leave Lamagari. However, the events of August 4, 1936, change everything.
Myrto and Melia return home, and their grandfather recounts the tale of King Midas and the Donkey Ears. A young teammate has a minor accident, and the police show up at the girls' doorstep.
On the last day of their vacation, grandfather informs Melia and Myrto that, from now on, they will be attending a prestigious private school. But nothing can prepare the sisters for the next surprise: the arrival of their new classmate.
As Myrto dreams of becoming a phalanx leader, Melia makes a new friend. Later that day, two pals visit the sisters, and Melia discovers a hidden message inside the tiger's mouth. Will she carry out her secret mission successfully?
The decision of Myrto's father gives birth to pressing dilemmas, and Nolis bears yet another secret message. Melia has a meeting with Nikos, and Headmaster Karanasis has a surprise for his students.
Myrto has a hard time proving her dedication to the cause. Meanwhile, the police are looking everywhere for the man with the thick moustache--including Melia's living room, where the tiger lives.
After Myrto's unaccountable disappearance, her family is worried sick. Myrto's grandfather leaves no stone unturned to find the missing girl; however, Melia has already found her sister. Then, Myrto has a pivotal announcement to make.
