It makes no sense
motori-2191614 July 2021
I really cannot understand this. It's about a family getting locked in a house and talking useless, the whole time. The reason why they got stuck in also does not make any sense. It was really really boring, I'd advise do not watch.

It was like getting Rick-rolled - but without the fun 80s pop.
zedrie7 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's an 88 minute commercial to let Jehovah Witnesses in your house. And if you don't, The Lord will... poison all the barbeque? Wait, what? Your wife will hate you and have another mans baby, your daughter will get knocked up AND your eldest son will sleep late and not clean the garage. You will also be cursed with the same shooting skill as a thumbless blind man. Yes, and you will shoot your family because you can aim the gun everywhere except at the guy, the size of a linebacker, standing directly in front of you. You will win the lottery and than you will die.

...or you can let them in. Do it for the barbeque!

If you took all the confusion David Lynch , the lengthiness Peter Jackson, Alanis Morrissette's sense of irony and rolled that up with the gripping intensity of a burp - you'd still have a movie 100 times better than this POS.

Hilariously terrible
jellymaca22 July 2021
This is probably one of the worst and most confusing movies I've ever watched. This is what makes the movie so unintentionally funny. I understand the budget for the movie was probably fairly small but the plot doesn't make any sense. Every cliche you could possibly think of happens in this movie. I thought of the most cliche ending that could possibly happen while watching and IT DID.

If you're bored and love laughing at terrible movies, this is the perfect movie for you XD It was fairly entertaining to watch with this mindset.

If you're hoping for an interesting thriller/sci-fi/mystery, please do not watch this lol. There's no clear direction at all in terms of the plot and the family's dynamics make no sense. Hope this helps :)

I cannot watching this
dimitrimonev7 July 2021
Super boring movie , don't waste a minute there. If you wanna see people locked in a house and talking pointless stuff so go on and give try. Very poor acting and most of the crew didn't get the script seriously.

Jehovahs are getting desperate
rene_nielson21 November 2021
This is the latest guffaw coming out of Watchtower Studios in Warwick NY. An obviously desperate attempt to instil fear in the viewer, in their vain hope of getting into your house and converting you.

They are bleeding members fast, and the $30M they have piled into their mini Holy-wood won't pay off. Too little holy and too much wood.

Before I even watched it or researched it, I knew it was theirs. I ONLY HAD TO HEAR THE ODD SNIPPETS. The young man quoting the New World Translation is a dead give away.

The acting is bad, terrible in fact. It's stiff, wooden. It's just like the other garbage they produce, check it out on their official site and you will see.

You will see almost nobody who was involved in producing it. Hardly any identification. No pics.

Watchtower Bible & Tract Society is the real producer and they are trying to hide that behind anonymity.

Wow....Just wow
zombiedawg6 November 2021
This has to be the worst movie out there now. No one in this house acts as though they've even met each other before much less are an actual family. Cheeseball effects and horrible acting lead to such a terrible movie that it just has to be watched. It's like the sun, you can't look away.... Just don't spend money on it though...You will be really pissed if you do.

This is the worst movie I have ever seen
cjessup-981721 January 2022
As a black women I was insulted.. I just can not believe that out of the few black fantasy apocalyptic movies that are available that this is one of them. Who signed off on this piece of mediocre acting and stereotypes? The movies only served to reinforce society perceptions of black men and women and also delivered the most boring apocalypse movie I have ever seen!! Who in the h****** , (no matter the race) stays in the house to figure out intra martial issues? Why was the count disregarded and why is the lottery so important? Whoever wrote this drivel wasted their time and mind.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not even sure what the heck I was watching.

All I got was some bible thumper...slash... family drama that was giving me a headache.

The "deadly virus" never did make an appearance.

On the fence....
pattypinky2 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
On the fence with this movie. If it were not for the ending, I would've rated this much lower. As I was watching, I was saying to myself this can't be real. How is this family reacting to the lockdown in a joking manner. As the story progresses, we learn that this is all a dream that the father is having. It sounds like the dad suspected certain things about his family all along or didn't like what could happen to them in the future. In reality, he wants things to work out with him and his family. This time when he awakes, he actually opens the door for who is assumed to be members from a religious group-he's now interested to hear what they are talking about.

stupidest movie I've ever seen in my entire life
debicediel-3476411 May 2023
I have never seen such bad acting in a movie in all my life as this one. You would think that they could at least get people who could act out the emotions and not over act in certain situation. The father in the movie constantly wants to pull out a gun and kill people for no reason whatsoever. He acts like a heathen from a psychological standpoint nobody acts like that in these types of situations. If it was life or death, and we were all in martial law, lockdown, nobody would be acting like this. People would actually come together and try to help one another instead of acting like these idiots in this movie!!!!

the reviews for this movie are so god damn hilarious
llewellynjacob19 April 2023
I gotta adit, yes the movie wasnt that good, but come on now guys... i'm a former JW "cultist." have been since i was 4, quit when i was 15. I highly doubt jehovah's witnesses would allow such violence and profanity in their movies lmao.

Dont expect me to start preaching because im just as tired of it as most of you are. I will say though, yall mf's making yourselves look like clowns here in the reviews by saying jw's made the movie.

The movie itself was pretty mid. It could've had a better story line, better animation or whatever, im not a movie producer, but it sure wasnt meeting my expectations for something interesting.

Babylon has Fallen
nogodnomasters17 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The film centers around Clarence McGee Sr.(Glenn Plummer) and family. We see signs that things are not quite right in the family. It appears his wife Carmen (Marie-Francoise Theodore) is having an affair. His daughter Crystal (Parker McKenna Posey ) is late and doing a pregnancy test. Junior (Marcus T. Paulk) is lazy and can't hold down a job. He is into conspiracy theories. His favorite son Evan (Cristian Fagins ) has a bad cough that later develops into a fever. His daughter's boyfriend Marcos (Stewart Flores) is a Latino and dad is a bit racist. As they sit down and all have dinner an announcement is made on the TV that martial law has been declared and everyone must stay in their homes. The sky has an eerie glow. There are soldiers and helicopters. Gunfire can be heard. What is going on?

The film is more of a dark comedy than a thriller and not much in the way of science fiction thanks to the actions and reactions of Clarence. The film can only be taken semi-seriously to be enjoyed.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

A complex Shakespearean drama
In modern times with a modern scenario, this movie presents the complexity of relational and family dynamics using relatable actors and a passionate script. The graphics and cgi are poor but the story excels on its own. This could happen in almost any household, and hence, takes the audience on an entertaining but often emotional rollercoaster. The movie was not positioned for a sequel but one was enough. I enjoyed the ride.

An outstanding drama with an endtime twist.
yesumessiah29 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
If you took out the prophetic angle, it would make a great drama on it's own, with all the elements needed to portray a highly dysfunctional American family. I don't particularly care for of these types of themes because they tend to piss me off, but the doom and gloom aspect did keep me watching until the end. Now it does have a dual ending that it didn't need as the more dramatic one was just fine, but that's OK if you like optional outcomes. I was rooting for them to all die at any one point and I was not eventually disappointed. The rebellious kids, old enough to be on their own but still living at home, the unsatisfied wife, the unappreciated hardworking husband. You couldn't put together a better emotional disaster. I hated and loved it at the same time. As for the other reviews, I think most people and critics have smoked too much Hopium and think that every production needs to be on par with Spielberg. If you like disaster flicks that have more character development and involvement, you'll probably like this one.

Realistic - MOST of us would Break Down
maboh228 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Very few Families could make it through a city wide lockdown for more than a day without turning on each other. Our egos get in the way of true love, the kind that Jesus espoused. Let's always remember that we are "one" and treat every person with kindness - "WWJD" keeps us from verbally and physically hurting others. It is NOT easy, certainly not for me, one of seven siblings raised in a "dysfunctional" environment like most humans are raised in. But letting negativity take over in times of stress will lead people to do and say things that can never be taken back. Watch your thoughts, they become words; watch your words, they become actions; watch your actions, they become habits; watch your habits, they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny - and that of your Children...

It's a decent movie.
mariselaevans27 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It wasn't boring to watch. It is a bit obvious that the budget wasn't that big. There is a lot of talk about religion though and some stuff doesn't make sense. For example, if there really was no poison attack then why where there missiles and color changing in the sky? And why would martial law need to be declared if there was really no threat? Also I don't know about the ending, like is he in a time loop then? But I was entertained but it just feels like everyone betrayed the main character. Like they were all hiding something from him in order to 'protect' him. I don't know if the movie was trying to pain the main character as the bad guy I sympathize with him. Mainly because his wife cheated on him then lied to him for 6 years then said he was a bad father...
