it's a funny cheesy cult film

Super Heroes The Movie is a superhero movie that parodies the 1970's Super Friends TV show. It was shot in the 90s but as you can read in /r/lost_films it was never released because the film was destroyed in a fire. But thankfully someone just found an early output of the film and now it's been released on Amazon. It is made of the highest-grade cheese and is extremely entertaining for those who love this genre. It truly has just the right amount of stupid-funny, self-seriousness, low budget quality, that is needed to rise to cult status. It had me grinning and laughed out loud a couple times at the stupidest things. But I get ahead of myself. The story follows the Super Crew, consisting of clever names like, Superbman, Wonderful Woman, Aguaman, Ratman, Sparrow, and the Super Twins. They have to prevent a supervillain from the 5th dimension from taking over the world. Fyi, in comic books, if you ever meet someone from the 5th dimension and you need to destroy them then all you have to do is trick them into saying their name backwards. But the premise here is that our supervillain is named Bob. So he's invincible. This type of silly tone is set up right away with Wonderful Woman flying in her invisible helicopter which is just a still photo animated on the screen. The lowest budget special effects at its best. Another funny aspect is Superbman, played heartfelt by Ric Borelli, who is actually not a beefcake, but he's chubby. Contrast that with Wonderful Woman, played by Lisa Guerrero, who has striking Linda Carter beauty, still thinks about getting back together with our cubby Superbman even after she caught him cheating on her with a reporter. A good chunk of the plot consists of Aguaman, Ratman & Sparrow consoling a heartbroken Superbman while they have to deal with the fact that the government has decided to shut down the Super Crew due to budget constraints. (did a writer from Avenger's work on this back in the 90s?) The most impressive aspect of this funny cheesy film is Kevin Glikmann, the actor who plays Bob. I have not seen such a creative, unique, performance since probably Jim Carrey's the mask. Watching the trailer will give you a good idea of the quality and tone you can expect from this cheesy cult masterpiece.
