- A casual hangout in an abandoned lumberyard takes a turn when two outsiders, Zoe and Iona, spot a mysterious creature in the distance. As their curiosity draws them closer, an immediate bond with the animal unlocks a chain of events that challenges their inner courage.
- Two outsiders, Zoe (Nahéma Ricci) and Iona (Julia Stone), are hanging out among the tall grass and rusted machinery of an abandoned lumber mill outside of town. The summer's arid landscape creates an innate stillness as the two discuss a rift that has left Iona with a black eye. Their casual conversation is halted when they spot a creature in the distance. What initially seems like a beautiful white horse draws their curiosity and takes them closer, only to discover a mythical creature standing before them - a unicorn. This discovery unlocks a chain of events that leads to the girls being confronted by a group of armed men, whose intention to take the unicorn back quickly escalates. The girls are provoked into standing up to the men, whose demeanor is rooted in their inherent right to the animal's possession. In a moment of instinctive action, Zoe's inner courage is ultimately challenged - while subtlety questioning our ideas of ownership and humankind's relationship with nature.
