The first West Coast performance of the Massachusetts-based Boston Pops Orchestra, conducted by maestro Arthur Fiedler.
Arthur Fiedler and his Boston Pops Orchestra performed at the Central Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles on September 13, 1975, and the concert was broadcast as a 90-minute PBS special in March 1976, in celebration of the American Bicentennial (1776-1976) and as part of the network's "Festival '76" fundraising campaign. PBS stations broadcast the special again in December 1976.
