Not a political statement; just stating truths
gkangchs19 March 2021
If all you think about is politics when you watch this show, you're completely missing the point. No, don't stop reading. Just LISTEN, for once: forget politics-racism isn't political, this pandemic isn't political-and LISTEN to the message. That's all these writers want to do: teach viewers what it's like in someone else's perspective, coming from THEIR mouths, b/c we have severe tunnel vision when it comes to what other people go through; WE REFUSE TO PROCESS TEACHABLE MOMENTS when it SOUNDS "political".

We don't get an authority to what Black people go through when it comes to police brutality, unless we are Black. Anti-Asian violence has gone up since the pandemic started just because it came from China.

It is up to us to open our minds just a little bit and then we'll have our sense of humanity to realize we need more people to ACTIVELY listen and not talk about what we claim to know.

Worst Episode This Season

This episode was almost painful to watch. The entire cult storyline was ridiculous. Why didn't the police respond instead of firefighters? Why would a firefighter be taking life advice from a lunatic cult leader? The "dancing" cult members looked more like they were having seizures. A real waste of tv time.

Stop w/politics & race wars
mommycoppel19 March 2021
I don't want to come off insensitive. I know racism still against but to imply people of color are being suppressed when most of the fire fighters on the show is very mixed, seems like a contradiction. I just wish we didn't have to watch the same stuff that's going on in the real world. I watch tv to escape from reality. We see politics and racism al over the news. I don't need it in my tv shows too. It's just not necessary. I'm just so over it.

My husband is about to ban me from the family room

I was so over the race-baiting, politics and pandemic within 2 weeks of the new falls season. I want to get away from that, but it's everywhere, on nearly every show we watch. It's like the networks have a quota on having story lines that make "white man bad," "black man victim," PANDEMIC PANDEMIC PANDEMIC or they will have BLM camping out in front of their studios. I swear, I can't get through a show without shouting BS at the screen. And I've tried!

But this episode....wow, it was just plain boring. The dialogue was soooo bad and the cult thing was just painful to watch it was so cringe. That they also made my favorite character, Miller, into a mad nasty whiner who can't accept an apology sure doesn't help.

The only reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 1 was the story line with Warren and the citizen who came to the firehouse to have him look at his injured finger. Very well acted and written.
