The Computer-Generated Dinosaurs Alone Are Worth the Watch
Jon-Laurence16 February 2021
As someone who has viewed nearly every English-language dinosaur documentary released since the early 80s, i can honestly say that this miniseries features the most breathtakingly beautiful and accurate computer generated dinosaurs that i have ever seen {period!}. They are on par with the GMO's which give the Jurassic Park/World franchise its bite (if the latter actually looked scientifically accurate!). The paleontology within the series examines relatively newer discoveries in an engaging way that is accessible for viewers of all ages. Unlike some recently released speculative biology documentaries, Amazing Dinoworld actually spends a lot of time focusing on the computer generated subjects in their beautifully rendered landscapes rather than featuring 30 minutes of talking heads interspersed with 10 minutes of cool graphics (i'm looking at you "Alien Worlds"). Definitely a must-watch for fans of dinosaurs, paleontology, zoology, and speculative biology alike.

It's like Planet Earth, but with dinosaurs
Vesylum5 August 2021
If you've seen this mini-series on HBO and are wondering what it is, it remind me a lot of Planet Earth, just with dinosaurs instead.. but that's not all it is. It also has scattered in real-life modern discoveries and developments in the dinosaur world by the actual people that discovered them.

The CGI is so good that you completely forget what you're watching aren't actually real dinosaurs interacting with the world and each other--although you can imagine that the intense scenarios that they show absolutely occurred time and time again in the dinosaur age.
