Nice Interview
Hellcomposer (2007)
*** (out of 4)
Composer Christopher Young gets over twenty minutes of running time to discuss his musical score for HELLRAISER as well as its sequel. If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly enjoy this interview because Young goes into great detail on just about every aspect of the score. He talks about how he ended up getting the job and then goes into great detail about all aspects of the score. He talks about certain scenes and what he wanted to get out of them and he talks the importance of the score to get certain things out of the visual images. He then talks about being asked to do the sequel and what he expected out of himself. Overall this is a fun interview and especially since Young goes into so much detail about the making of the score. If you're interesting in what it takes to come up with a score then this will be even more entertaining.
