Removing an ignition coil would not produce an insufficient battery state that would keep an engine from turning over when the starter turns, as depicted by the clicking sound when the key was turned. Furthermore, a modern car like that probably wouldn't do anything if someone turned the key with any of its ignition coils removed. Lastly, it's security system would have prevented any tampering.
