Dolly Parton and her husband, Carl Dean, have been married for decades, but she said they approach life in markedly different ways. Parton is far more outgoing and enjoys the spotlight her career brings her. Dean keeps his life so private that many people don’t even know he exists. Their spending habits are also quite different. Parton said Dean hates to spend money and finds her purchasing habits shocking.
Dolly Parton’s husband found her spending habits baffling
While Parton and Dean have a private relationship, she has spoken about him and the way their marriage functions. According to Parton, she and Dean are virtual opposites. One of their points of disagreement is the way they like to spend money.
“Carl would rather have his body hair painfully pulled out than spend money,” Parton wrote in her book Dolly: My Life and Other Unfinished Business. “I call him Scrooge.

For years, Game of Thrones has retained the rather unfortunate title of TV’s most-pirated show. But during season 7, things threatened to spiral out of control.
Not only did HBO’s international partner leak episode 4, “The Spoils of War,” two days ahead of schedule, but the network itself was crippled by a massive security breach, when 1.5 terabytes of data was stolen. Subsequent reports later confirmed that the two incidents were entirely unrelated but by that stage, the damage was already done, and season 7’s penultimate instalment, “Beyond the Wall,” was posted online prior to HBO’s initial broadcast.
It turns out Thrones fans needn’t worry about HBO repeating the same mistakes during the crucial eighth season though, as Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) told Scandinavian talk show Skavlan (via Fansided) that he won’t have access to season 8’s scripts, and will instead learn his lines through an earpiece.

“Game of Thrones” is going to great lengths to protect leaks for its upcoming eighth and final season. Following the HBO hack earlier this year, the cast will not receive scripts and will instead wear earpieces and listen to the lines that they are to deliver, according to cast member Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister). “We’re not even going to get the script,” he said on Scandinavian show “Skavlan.” Also Read: 'Game of Thrones' Showrunners Will Direct Series Finale Coster-Waldau explained that the actors in the first few seasons would typically receive a hard copy of scripts before shooting episodes.

Just when you thought you couldn't be more repulsed by Donald Trump's interactions with women, another gross story drops from the heavens. British actress Emma Thompson recently appeared on Scandinavian TV show Skavlan, where the 57-year-old shared a story about the time the Sabrina the Teenage Witch guest star hit on her. Exactly one day after she split from first husband Kenneth Branagh, she received a call in her trailer on the set of the 1998 film Primary Colors (in which she plays a character loosely inspired by Hillary Clinton, coincidentally). The phone rang and she heard a voice that said, "Hi, it's Donald Trump here," a sensation that Emma described as "like a moose had just entered my trailer" since that phone had never rung before. He offered her "some accommodation" in Trump Towers because "they're really comfortable" and finished off the call by saying, "Well, you know, I...

Tyra Banks just opened up old wounds. As a supermodel, mogul and mom, the 42-year-old is a long ways away from her earliest years as an aspiring model in Paris. As she quickly took the international industry by storm on the catwalks of the early '90s, the young Banks was immediately compared to and pitted against Naomi Campbell, one of the most iconic figures in the fashion world to this day and one of the few African American supermodels at the time. According to Banks, Campbell caused some of the "lowest times" of her life during their following 14-year rivalry, as she described during an interview on the Norwegian-Swedish talk show Skavlan. "I got to Paris and it was...

Brandon Flowers has claimed that his responses during a recent TV debate with prominent atheist Richard Dawkins were heavily edited. The Killers frontman - who is a proud Mormon - took part in the discussion on Swedish TV show Skavlan last month. "I gave some decent answers that were edited out," Flowers told The Guardian before adding: "The world is against the Christian man." On the talkshow, Flowers witnessed Dawkins calling The Book of Mormon "an obvious fake" and "a work of charlatanry". The singer was visibly stunned by Dawkins's comments and took a moment before responding. "To call this man a charlatan, I take offence to it," replied Flowers. "These are all falsities - you should do your research." "I think I have," said Dawkins to applause, before the host cut Flowers short by telling (more)...
