Ever since the beginning of the Multiverse Saga in 2021, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have been talking about one person. It's not classic MCU heroes like Iron Man or Captain America, or Phase Four staples like the Scarlet Witch, Wong, Spider-Man, or Doctor Strange. No, it's the one person we've all been waiting to appear. And, rather ironically, the one person who has yet to actually appear.
We are, of course, talking about Mephisto.
Marvel Studios' first Disney Plus series WandaVision had fans convinced that the character would be involved, both due to his history with Agatha Harkness and the Scarlet Witch, and the fact that there were a number of nods and references that could have led to his arrival. When that didn't happen, they were convinced it would happen in Loki, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in What If...? and so forth.
Now, three years later,...

Over the years, Marvel Studios has gained a reputation for rushing some of its projects into production, and we have heard numerous reports of filming getting underway before a script has been completed or is still being worked on.
Sometimes it all works out, others it can be a little more noticeable in the final product, but this "winging it" approach goes all the way back to the studio's first movie, Iron Man.
The film's script problems (and the biggest problem was that there was no finished script) have been well-documented over the years, and it's a wonder Iron Man turned out half as well as it did. Star Jeff Bridges - who played the villainous Obadiah Stane - was asked about his experience shooting the movie during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
“I remember being so frustrated, as an actor. I like to be prepared. I like to know my lines.

Released in 2008, Iron Man marked the start of the MCU. It introduced not only the first superhero in the cinematic universe but also its very first villain—Obadiah Stane.
Obadiah Stane is presented as Howard Stark’s business partner and Tony Stark’s mentor. He serves as the CEO of Stark Industries and wields considerable influence over the company.
Iron Man and Stane eventually find themselves in a confrontation against each other. In the climactic battle known as the “Duel of Los Angeles,” Stane appears to be fatally electrocuted by his prototype arc reactor when it explodes underneath him, causing him to fall into it before it detonates.
But is this really the end? During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Jeff Bridges, the actor who plays Stane, suggested that there may still be a chance for Stane to return in a true comic book style. According to Bridges,...

Agatha All Along premiered with its first two episodes, and while fans are loving it, critics have a more mixed response. The series continues after WandaVision, showing Agatha—now called Agnes—living under a spell from the Scarlet Witch until she is freed by Locke’s character, The Teen.
Agatha and The Teen team up to navigate the Witches Road, with The Teen seeking power and Agatha looking to regain her own, as she returns without her abilities.
The show feels somewhat disconnected from the main MCU, especially since the magical elements surrounding Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch haven’t been deeply explored. However, it establishes a solid foundation for characters that could connect to Ghost Rider and the Midnight Sons if you’re attuned to the hints.
One of the first supporting characters introduced is Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal, who has been confirmed as a green witch before the series began.

‘Agatha All Along’ debuted with its first two episodes, and while audiences are enjoying it, critics are less enthusiastic. The series picks up after ‘WandaVision,’ featuring Agatha—now known as Agnes—living under a spell cast by the Scarlet Witch until she is freed by Locke’s character, The Teen.
Together, Agatha and The Teen seek to navigate the Witches Road: The Teen is on a quest for power, while Agatha aims to reclaim her own, having returned powerless.
The show doesn’t look like it’s part of the mainline MCU all that much, since that magical part of the MCU wasn’t really explored despite Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch being massive characters. The show really lays a solid foundation for some characters potentially connected to Ghost Rider and Midnight Son, if you’re paying attention to the clues.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along arrived on Disney+ yesterday evening (you can read our recaps here and here) and while many fans are tuning in to hopefully learn more about the Scarlet Witch's fate, a bigger surprise might be staring us right in the face.
It's no secret that Legion star Aubrey Plaza is playing Rio Vidal, but the actor recently sent speculation into overdrive when she said, "I'm just so happy they let me play this character. I can't spoil it, but what happens, the reveal is pretty amazing. And I think for the fans especially, they're going to go crazy."
In other words, she's not just Rio...in that case, who is Plaza playing?
In the second episode of Agatha All Along, Agatha Harkness assembles a coven but, when they gather at her house, we learn she's deliberately decided against hunting down one of the...

When the character Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne) made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the idea was that we’d be seeing the character again the following year in her own six-episode Disney+ show Ironheart… but 2023 came and went without Ironheart, and the show still doesn’t have an official premiere date. It is expected to come along sometime in 2025, and a trailer was recently shown at the D23 event. It will be a while before we get to see the show’s characters in action, but during a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, cast member Anthony Ramos took a moment to talk about the character he plays in the series: Parker Robbins, a.k.a. The Hood.
Ramos said, “I saw a trailer at D23. We walked onstage, and they played this new trailer of Ironheart, and it was my first time seeing it.

The Disney+ series ‘Ironheart’ is scheduled for release in 2025. The show will follow the character of Riri Williams as she becomes the new armored hero called Ironheart. Dominique Thorne will star as Riri Williams, who was first introduced in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The series will show Riri Williams returning to her hometown of Chicago where she will face new challenges. One challenge will come from the character of Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. Anthony Ramos will play this villain whose powers come at a cost to his physical health. In the comics, The Hood’s abilities are granted through an enchanted hood, but it starts to damage his body externally and change his personality.

Marvel Comics recently celebrated its 85th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, Marvel Studios has now released a compilation video highlighting the 85 most iconic moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far.
The video runs almost a full hour (you can always skip through it if you're short on time), and features scenes from pretty much every MCU movie and Disney+ series that's been released, from Iron Man right up to Echo.
A lot of these moments truly are iconic - Captain America picking up Mjölnir in Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark's "I am Iron Man" (both of 'em), etc - but we can see others - such as Peter Quill's "dance off" with Ronan the Accuser in the first Guardians of the Galaxy and pretty much anything from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - being a little more contentious!

As we’ve mentioned before, the future of the MCU has become exciting again with Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the franchise. Fans are eagerly anticipating how the new stories, characters, and films will unfold. While it’s still uncertain how Marvel will weave together these multiversal elements and craft a compelling future narrative, excitement remains high.
Interestingly, the release dates for the upcoming films are approaching quickly, with Avengers: Doomsday slated for 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars set for 2027. Given that these films are still in the early stages of development, this timeline seems quite short.
While we could delve into the potential implications of this tight schedule, our main concern is whether these movies might face delays. The MCU’s previous saga spanned over a decade, while the current one appears to be moving at a faster pace. A popular and reliable insider might have insights into whether...

As we have said on more than one occasion, the future of the MCU is finally intriguing once again after the confirmation of Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the franchise. Interestingly enough, the movies have been scheduled quite soon, with Avengers: Doomsday hitting theaters in 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to appear in 2027. Seeing how these movies haven’t even been written properly, this seems like a very short period of time.

While it would be unfair to say Marvel Studios' foray into streaming has been a failure, it also hasn't played out quite as we - or they - hoped.

That's led to Daredevil: Born Again being overhauled and to the studio taking a more traditional approach to small screen storytelling; rather than making them like movies, they're now getting showrunners and being produced like any other series.

Marvel Studios has a wide range of projects in the works, including both rumored and confirmed ones. Some are fresh concepts, while others have been stuck in development for a long time—even before the SAG-AFTRA strike brought the industry to a standstill.

Armor Wars was planned as a film based on the comic storyline of the same name. It was meant to follow Secret Invasion (which was released last year) and Ironheart (scheduled for 2025). Back in 2011, Don Cheadle confirmed that a War Machine film was in the works and that Joe Robert Cole had been hired to write it.
Nine years later, during Disney’s 2020 Investor Day, it was announced that Armor Wars would be developed as a Disney+ television series, with Don Cheadle returning as James Rhodes. In 2021, Cheadle also indicated that production would start in a few months.
In August 2021, Yassir Lester was appointed as the head writer for the series.

No green screen magic was needed to conjure a key set piece in Disney+’s next Marvel series, Agatha All Along.
In the WandaVision follow-up that’s been three-and-a-half years in the making (and debuts Wednesday, Sept. 18 with the first two episodes), Agatha Harkness (played again by Kathryn Hahn) finds herself down and out (of power) after a young goth dubbed Teen (Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke) helps break her free from the spell cast by Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff.

With Deadpool & Wolverine now released, the MCU is gearing up for the upcoming Agatha All Along. This series will continue the story from WandaVision, forming part of a trilogy that includes the MCU’s Vision project. In Agatha All Along, Agatha Harkness escapes her imprisonment and seeks to reclaim her powers by traversing the Witches’ Road.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, Joe Locke’s character, Billy Kaplan, will play a crucial role in this storyline. He is expected to be significant in the MCU, both as a key figure in Agatha’s quest and due to his potential connection to the Scarlet Witch.
Joe Locke’s role is significant not only for the storyline but also for LGBTQ+ representation in the MCU, as Kaplan will join the ranks of other queer characters. Locke stands out as one of the few openly Lgbtqia+ actors playing a queer role in the MCU,...

Now that the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is behind us, MCU is continuing full steam ahead with the upcoming release of ‘Agatha All Along.’ The show is set to be continuation of ‘WandaVision,’ a part of the trilogy along with MCU’s ‘Vision’ project, and will see Agatha Harkness escaping her imprisonment and reclaiming her powers by walking the Witches’ Road.
Judging by everything we’ve seen so far Joe Locke’s character, Billy Kaplan will be instrumental in this task. He is set to be an important character in the MCU, partially due to being the driver behind Agatha’s quest and partially due to his potential connection to the Scarlet Witch.
However, Joe Locke’s character is important for one more reason, in terms of LGBTQ+ representation in the MCU, as Kaplan is bound to join the ranks of other Queer characters.

Marvel Studios has released a new poster for Agatha All Along, the upcoming WandaVision sequel which we believe will have major ramifications for the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For example, what if Ironheart has been pushed to 2025 because it's here we'll meet Mephisto for the first time? Time will tell but this new teaser puts the title character front and centre alongside her new coven.
Talking to SFX, Agatha All Along Head Writer Jac Schaeffer shared her gratitude for the way fans have embraced Agatha Harkness since her MCU debut in WandaVision.
"It was so beautiful and thrilling to have our show celebrated in this way," she said, referring to a viral drag brunch in Minneapolis. "I could cry thinking about it. I have thought about that drag brunch most days making Agatha All Along. I wanted this show to be worthy of that type of fandom and adulation."

The upcoming spin-off from Marvel’s WandaVision, Agatha All Along, will arrive next month. Here’s the latest trailer to prove it.
Nb: A spoiler for WandaVision follows if you haven’t seen it yet.
Marvel Studios continues to churn out plenty of TV series to supplement its ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there’s an argument to be made that it hasn’t yet topped the quality of its first attempt: Matt Shakman’s excellent WandaVision from 2021.
Fans of that show will have a chance to see part of its story continued in the upcoming Agatha All Along, starring the excellent Kathryn Hahn in the role of Agatha Harkness, the character who featured to memorable effect in WandaVision.
Here’s the plot for the upcoming series:
The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after the suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell.

It appears work on Wonder Man is almost finished, a strong indication it will be released on Disney+ in 2025 alongside Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart.

The film faced numerous problems leading up to the release, which may have had its part in the film becoming the box office bomb.
Recently, Ehrenreich was asked about the possibility of returning as Han Solo in future Star Wars projects. While promoting his role in Marvel Studios' Ironheart at D23, he shared his thoughts on reprising the role.

The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito was added to the cast of Captain America: Brave New World during reshoots. Following speculation that he'd been cast as G.W. Bridge, the actor was finally confirmed as Seth Voelker/Sidewinder at last month's San Diego Comic-Con.
The character is best known for leading the Serpent Society, a group of technologically and genetically enhanced villains who may or may not have been cut from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follow-up.
In the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, Sidewinder looks more like a paid assassin or mercenary than anything else; however, Esposito shared some intriguing new details while appearing at Fan Expo Chicago this weekend.
He described Sidewinder as "a scientist [and] a great mind," teasing, "You will see me do things that you've never seen me do before."
In the comics, Voelker is portrayed as a criminally minded businessman rather than a...

As a Disney+ subscriber, I’m growing restless. I haven’t watched a Disney+ original since the wildly uneven “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” The service has dramatically slowed its original output, and it doesn’t look like there’s any strategy in place aside from 3-4 Marvel and Star Wars shows every year. At this point, I’m reconsidering my subscription.
