Enigmatic as its name (tv)
Well, I dig into Egyptology due to multiple factors: Napoleon and his Pyramids campaign, and X-files and aliens search. Indeed, this Giza site is as much historic as paranormal. Pyramids and Sphinx are among the oldest constructions on earth and yet, even today, it would be really hard to build them again. Was it only the work of thousand Egyptians working to please the pharaoh-god or did they have access to a past knowledge from an advanced but lost civilization. For me, Giza is a huge beacon used to show an incredible technology that existed millennium ago and that urges to be studied to learn man origin. This is the argument developed by Graham Hancock in his (very esoteric) book "The Message of the Sphinx".
In this light, how the documentary fits?
Actually, it has splendid visual of Giza and we see the monuments in all angles. At one time, the camera is really on the back of the Sphinx and it's really unique to be told! The documentary isn't paranormal but strictly archaeological: The official version about Sphinx built after Pyramids is the main subject but at the end, there's some argument for the Sphinx built before but this part is not really expanded. Two facts are finally left out:
1) the Sphinx gaze is toward east, so every day, he watches the sun rises
2) Some deep cavities exist under Sphinx but have never been explored
The mystery is still on ...
