Refreshing and Eerie
Quite the idea, actually getting the audience to see what the MTF (A subset in the SCP foundation, a fictional organization) deal with on a daily basis and the master minds behind this really deliver. You'll love the authenticity to militaristic procedures and want to see more. Watching it all unfold is an intense adventure!

An incredibly well produced short
Fantastic
This is the best SCP film I've ever seen. The overall plot is not boring and because it's a short film, it doesn't take up too much time. For a short film, it deserves this rating.
A new genre of horror, and I can't wait to see more!
SCP Overlord started funding several months ago and raised over $23,000. I say this for myself and others when I believe the money was put to good use. The movie's atmosphere was tense and mysterious at times. The story overall was well written and the dialogue could line up with military standards. The cast was also pretty good as some of them are former military and it's more realistic than other films I seen. Lastly, the original soundtrack was phenomenal and kept you in the mood the entire time. I can't wait to see what projects Evan and Stephen have in store next time.

Best Action/Horror I've ever seen.
Everything from the realism of the MTF operators to the main threat that the team face is top notch. I was a backer of this film and it's by far some of the best money I've ever spent. Phenomenal work.

Incredible from start to finish
One word. Wow. Everything from the realism in the operators movements to the props and effects. They really captures the "mystic" feeling that is backbone of the SCP Foundation, and manages to switch from horror into action i a split second. Man, makes you wish it was longer. Amazing, 10/10.
Could use more expansion.
I'm not going to keep repeating the same good points about this, it's a good short. The best SCP film out right now but I can't help but feel like the actual plot was put on the sidelines to instead focus on production.
After watching the other short films the channel has produced and seeing them reach a conclusion watching Overlord felt like I was just purposely teasing myself. While I was able to put two and two together and form a cohesive story it ended before a climax was even reached and although it may sound petty that is frustrating.
I felt more full-filled watching their earlier shorts made in game because they where full story's. From the way they formatted Overlord it was as if it was a first episode in a sires. But judging by their uploading history I'm fairly sure this is just a one off, really too bad. So I guess my real issue is it's too damn good to be so short lmao.
Honestly wish there was more.
Although small in scale, I would say it's a very good short film. When you make a movie based of the SCP Foundation with any kind of production value, it's guaranteed to get people to watch it, but if you make a good one, then it's a whole other category of great.
The plot leaves a lot of mystery for the audience to figure out, just like a lot of the SCP documents. This means I still think about this movie quite frequently, even though it's been a while since I've watched it.
Hope to see more short films like this, as I'd definitely want to support them in any way I can.

The definition of unknown horror
Stephen and Evan create yet another masterpiece in this SCP genre and I am not surprised that they did such an astounding job at every aspect.

Hamstrung by mediocre writing
I would give it 10/10 if the writing matched the top-notch camerawork, production and post. Stephen Hancock is amazing.
But the screenplay needed a lot more work than the 2 months it got. Most decisions made by the characters and the mission control don't make sense, the character's mannerisms don't match the backstory, the military lingo is misused half the time. Refine the screenplay a lot more next time, and you'll have an absolute winner.

Need mil advisor
Well done screenplay I'm just a stickler for tactics and lingo used by supposed pmc/military. Dont move correctly.. room entries poorly done and improper language.

Its alright
The writing is alright. Nothing really profound or terrifying. The acting is hit or miss, but that's to be expected with a YouTube film. The movie has an eerie atmosphere and is suspenseful at times, but fails to really portray the lovecraftian terror of the SCP. The movie doesn't have enough time to build a relevant amount of suspense, or to develop an emotional investment in the characters so the impact really isn't there. Its an ok film considering the budget and runtime constraints.

My only complaint is that now I have to wait calmly for the next one!
So well put together, very well directed and acted.
Seriously needs a feature length follow up!

Could use more expansion
After watching the earlier shorts this channel made in game and than coming back to Overlord I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. It's feels as though plot and in general every characters common sense has been put on the sidelines for production (amazing as it is).
The short ended before the story even reached a climax and while it may sound petty, that is frustrating. I felt more full filled after watching their GTA 5 scp films then their live action ones because they ended up having a plot line as scuffed as they where.
SCP Overlord is formatted as if it's episode one in a tv series but seeing their upload schedule it most definitely isn't, too bad.
A great example of tactical horror
This is an amazingly shot and well put together short film. The pacing was great and the suspense was palpable. The costumes were masterfully put together and the voice acting was great as always. There was little to no hand holding in terms of story telling. A viewer isn't lost if they don't know the lore of SCP and those that do are rewarded even more. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 10 is that the physical actors didn't seem to match up entirely with the voice actors. Other than that, the film was great and I can't wait for more to come! Also, the fact that this was shot during COVID and it is this level of quality speaks high volumes of the entire cast and crew.

Pretty cool
I liked it, but like another guy said, they definitely need a military advisor. These guys could be taken out easily, the way they move around all bunched up. One grenade or good soldier could easily wipe them out. Otherwise, I really liked the film.
Incredible!
I watched this movie in the comfort of my own home, and I have to say I have never felt more excited to see where a film goes. The story was well-rounded, and it felt more military-ish than many movies with triple its budget. It keeps you on your toes, and the twists were unexpected; which just made me fall in love with this movie even more. I hope to see bigger, longer and more action-packed films from the creators in the inevitable future.

Pioneering the Frontier of SCP Horror/Thriller Films
With such a small cast and budget, entirely crowdfunded by fans willing to pay for films that finally make use of the stories, creatures, and eldritch horrors from the SCP Foundation, Stephen and Even bring us the experience of former military personnel, and knowledge of experts in all things SCP, and combine them to create a masterpiece of occult horror.
SCP: Overlord left me feeling a genuine terror of what lurks in the dark, and what can't be seen in plain sight. At the start, the audience is introduced to an unnatural cult, and by the end, the ordinary details come back to prove their worth with an unforgettable revelation of the world that surrounds the characters of the film.
I can't wait to see what they do next.

Best fan made movie
Professional production without any cheap jump scares or scenes to keep the movie going. Amazing acting and performance, every scene is clean and well coordinated.

I really liked this film
My main gripes were as follows:
- characters not stumbling access the intel the find, they seem to turn around and walk over to it, happens twice
- gas masks not moving when they talk
- some obvious issues with the tactics of the operators, although it's not to noticable
