Summer School: Chapter Two (2021)
Amy Smart: Barbara Whitmore
Quotes
-
Courtney Whitmore : She broke into the house, Pat, and... and was trying to steal the green lantern.
Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : I wasn't stealing anything. This belonged to my father.
Pat Dugan : Your father?
Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : His name was Alan Scott.
Barbara Whitmore : [seeing Pat react] Does that name mean something to you?
Pat Dugan : Yeah. It's the Green Lantern.
Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : His ring led me here. My name is Jennie. Who are you?
Pat Dugan : I'm Pat Dugan.
Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : You're Stripesy? You're a legend.
Pat Dugan : [simultaneously with Courtney] I am?
Courtney Whitmore : He is?
Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : You built the Star-Rocket Racer. You're a mechanical genius. It's an absolute honor to meet you, Mr. Dugan.
-
Barbara Whitmore : How may I help you, Mr. Swift?
Richard Swift : Well, as my card says, I deal in things both old and... curious, as a collector. And one of my many passions is magic. Stage magic, that is. It's come to my attention that the late William Zarick had a noteworthy collection of magical stage props and sundries from the past, now held in trust by the same American Dream.
Barbara Whitmore : William Zarick?
Richard Swift : Uh, a councilman in Blue Valley, if I'm not mistaken, but a-a well-known... collector.
Barbara Whitmore : Did you know Mr. Zarick?
Richard Swift : Merely by reputation.
Barbara Whitmore : Mm.
Richard Swift : Barbara...
Barbara Whitmore : Mm.
Richard Swift : I'm going to cut to the chase. If the American Dream were to sell me Zarick's collection, I'd probably pay a ridiculously high sum for it.
Barbara Whitmore : Well, let me see where the collection is stored and if the committee wants to sell it, and I'll get back to you.
Richard Swift : Excellent.
Barbara Whitmore : [he stands to leave] There's no contact info, which is strange for a business card, if you don't mind me saying.
Richard Swift : I'll be in touch with you, but while I'm here, I may as well explore all that is Blue Valley. By chance, where might I find a decent cup of tea?
Barbara Whitmore : You could try Richie's. It's just right down the street.
Richard Swift : Richie's. Sounds delightful. I'll be in touch.
-
Courtney Whitmore : What's all of this?
Barbara Whitmore : Breakfast. Jennie made it.
Mike Dugan : Gotta try these pancakes.
Barbara Whitmore : I thought Pat's were unbeatable, but we sure got a contender here.
Mike Dugan : Oh, Pat's are very beatable.
Pat Dugan : This is like a restaurant.
