The title "Kuriren" translates in English to "The Courier".
Ale's Stones - the site where the body is found in the story - is a megalithic construction that dates to the Nordic iron age of about 600 C.E. It is made of up 59 large boulders arranged in the shape of a longboat Viking ship and weighing up to 5 tons each. Trace evidence indicates that the location was inhabited as long ago as 5,500 years. Once the stones were in place the site was used for approximately 200 years and abandoned c. 800 C.E.
