Lorayn DeLuca's aunt was named Rose. She passed a few months after filming wrapped on Hen & Ham.
The graveyard scene (eventually cut from the final film) was shot at Triplet United Methodist Church in Mooresville, NC. Elias Gandy's great-grandmother, to whom Hen & Ham is dedicated, was buried in the same cemetery just a few feet away from where the scene was filmed.
Jeb Aufiero would only allow the cast and crew to refer to him as "Hen" on set. He would arrive on location several hours early, dressed completely in costume, and fully in character. Staying in character throughout the shoot allowed Jeb to give a measured and honest performance as Henry.
