- Bosch is pulled away from the arson case to a double homicide in the Hollywood Hills and finds RHD Detective Jimmy Robertson on the scene. When the harassment of Lt. Billets escalates, Captain Cooper and Lt. Thorne are angry that she reported it to IA instead of talking to them. Maddie makes a shocking discovery. Bosch and Edgar try to get Alvarez to talk.

Chandler leaves a phone message reminder to Frantzen to be ready in the morning. However a killer is cleaning up and taking the laptop and USB drive, Frantzen and his girlfriend have been shot dead in the safe house. In the morning she tries again to call him walking in her house and carrying a coffee pot. A masked man appears and shoots her twice, the lawyer drops onto her foyer as the killer picks up the shell casings.
In jail, Alvarez is getting nervous as the other Hispanic inmates stare at him.
Jun and Irvine prepare their baby's crib , the infant will be coming home soon, Jun jokes about diaper duty.
Vega says she forgot to forward her work phone to her own cell so missed La Mayorista's call the previous night. Bosch isn't too worried and determines the eMe gang killed her to prevent any deals. Billets brings a call slip about a a new double homicide. The three cops go to the Frantzen murder scene. Bosch calls Crate and Barrel to check out the house owner details. The cops look over the scene and agree it was a professional hitman. Vega finds a wallet and IDs Frantzen.
Billets goes to the Watch Commander and asks for details about the 415 backup the two female cops told her about, Louella will dig up the log for that night. Mank notices two cops looking at a cell phone, tells them to show him, its a crude photoshop of Billet's head on a topless torso. The two claim the pic just showed up in their inboxes. Mank takes them to his office.
Bosch tries to call Honey Chandler to notify her about Frantzen. Then Crate calls to let him know Chandler owns the safe house. He then calls Maddie to see if she knows where Chandler is, Maddie says she is supposed to pick her up at home and is close, Harry warns his daughter not to go in the house and to wait for him. Bosch and J.Edgar dash off from their scene. Maddie waits awhile then gets impatient and goes to Chandler's front door, she has a key. She gasps, seeing the prone and bloody body and calls 911. The cops arrive and Maddie goes outside to vomit, Harry comforts her.
Mayor Lopez is in her car talking to someone, happy to hear the FBI is dropping a Grand Jury case, she tells her driver Sgt Browne to change radio stations. They hear the breaking news item about the Chandler and Frantzen shootings.
At Chandler's house RHD Det. Jimmy Robertson arrives with his partner Joan Bennett,they will be taking over the case. Chandler is barely alive, they notice the coffee pot has a dent,it looks like it deflected the first bullet shot. Robertson talks to Maddie with Bosch just there to listen. Bennett is a little unhappy with Jerry, he never returned her calls. Jimmy walks Maddie through it learning about the SEC angle, when he asks too much she says she can't talk about clients, Jimmy says a "special master" process will allow it later.
Mank comes to Billets' office to show her the pic, he has no idea who made it. Grace is angry now.
J.Edgar drives Maddie home and offers to stay, she tells him he can go but thanks.
Mayor Lopez holds a presser announcing a former deputy chief Delgado as the new commissioner. Irving frowns and turns off the TV. He calls Bosch for an update, worried Harry has too much with the murder and arson.
Robertson and Bennett leave for the day joking like partners. Jerry tries to invite Bennett for a drink but she refuses. Maddie and Harry talk about Chandler, the lawyer hates her "Money" nickname. Harry doesn't fully like Chandler but respects her work ethic. Jun and Irvine again talk about his career prospects, he thinks the Mayor will appoint Delgado as Chief. Billets leaves her office deep in thought, Vega wants a word having seen the pic also. Christina mentions the male officers left used condoms on her car before.
Jerry wakes up and realizes it is 11:55 am.
Chandler is hanging on in ICU. The Irvings come for their baby but the pediatrician says there is an issue with jaundice that some light treatment should help, they look at the infant under a lamp.
Maddie once again meets with Robertson with the special master provisions in place, she explains further about the SEC and the video session. Harry, watching the interview on CCTV and realizes no one must know Maddie knows about the SEC details. Jerry slips in late. Robertson confirms with Bosch the Frantzen laptop and video are missing.
Lt Thorne and Billets meet with Capt Cooper. Thorne airs his beef about Billets' new complaint about the pic and now Mankiewicz has issued a "128" also. Cooper agrees with him to let the IA investigation play out and not take any action against the uniformed cops, with no proof otherwise.
The detectives discuss what they know so far, the Frantzen and Chandler cases must be connected. Maddie waits for Harry at his desk, they chat about Chandler's condition. Maddie is going out with Antonio, Harry warns her not to talk to anyone about the video or SEC. Antonio has bought a dinner, a spicy Hispanic dish.
Sgt Browne reports to Irving the telecon he overheard with the Mayor about the FBI. The Chief is intrigued and appreciative.
Louella the Watch Commander gives Billets the log file on the night Hunter and Lloyd asked for backup. Leonard and Norris never showed up and were not "Code 6" on a dinner break. Billets quickly fills in Mank on the incident. Bosch gets a call from the jail, Alvarez is trying for "keep away" status so Harry and Jerry decide to talk to him first.
Antonio and Maddie sit down for the home dinner, he tries a little too hard to get her to talk about the Chandler shooting, Maddie gets upset and starts to call an Uber. He apologizes and lets it go.
Alvarez still won't talk to Bosch and Edgar, they warn him he could be like Mayorista, the Mexican mafia eMe doesn't trust him either. Bosch warns him they will keep him in the general population, they urge him to give them Mickey Pena. Alvarez thinks about it, then asks to get him to safety first.
