About 42 minutes in Del Toro and Timberlake have a conversation in the car at the funeral. As shots go back to Del Toro the steering wheel keeps changing position even though the car is parked.

When Nichols, Allen and the other cops are outside discussing the case, the orientation of the Folger's container placed on the table by Cleary changed from one shot to another.

In the scene where Nichols fires in his sleep while dreaming, the viewer sees the left hand being the trigger finger. But during the actual shooting he was firing with his right hand.

The plot description states the story is set in New England. At 1:01:12, one of the ladies in the bar clearly states she works at "...Stone Mountain (GA)..."

When Nichols is discussing the case with the other cops outside at his house, the two bottle waters switch positions from one shot to the next. Additionally, the half-empty bottle water at one point has the cap off and then in a following shot the cap is on.

Tom fires several shots blindly as he ducks into the bathroom. But when the boys come to the window to look in, the glass is not broken.

After at least 6 un-suppressed shots are fired inside, the sound doesn't alert any of the boys outside, who are still playing Frisbee.

By the time Nichols (Del Toro) arrives on scene of the initial murder, medical would not be hanging around the room while detectives are processing it and they wouldn't've left a single glove on the floor, you remove gloves in pairs per habit and in a specific way to avoid contamination, even if it were a newbie medic, they would not be the one sticking around on scene. Medical would only remain to verify the body was deceased. Any happenstance flotsam of aid would be evidence.

In a news report, a vehicle in question is referred to as a GMC Suburban. Although GMC and Chevrolet share the same platform, they are separate brands and a Suburban is a Chevrolet.

Around the 52:12 mark, when Will Grady recounts how he found his wife, a three-second shot of his wife is shown, supposedly dead, but her right leg moves a little.

At the 1:23 mark you see 'Tom Nichols' at his desk just prior to going to the men's room to copy some info..directly to his right on the wall is a map of LA County.

They say Summer was in Limerick, Maine, 45 minutes east of Scarborough, Maine. However, Scarborough is on the coast and Limerick is actually 45 minutes WEST of Scarborough.

When tracing a car possibly involved in the murder, Nichols (Del Toro) asks someone to look out for cars on I-35 North and Southbound. This would not be relevant to the crime in question, as I-35 runs from Texas to Minnesota, nowhere near the location of the murder in Maine.

After Wally shoots his boss at the top of the stairs he then readies his weapon at the bottom thus alerting Tom to his presence instead of just shooting him. Unless he had a stoppage or ran out of bullets after firing one round he would have had no need to ready his weapon.
