In an interview with IndieWire, despite Eric stating before that the show's full unedited interviews would not be made available, there was almost one exception for an extended Season 5 interview before tragic circumstances caused Andre to hold off. Eric explained, "They're not as exciting as one would think but we almost did put an extended interview up this year. We had an extended interview with Naya Rivera because she had so many funny gags in her interview that we couldn't cram in the episode's time. We were gonna put it out but then she passed away and we didn't want it to feel like we were exploiting her death or anything dark or weird for marketing. If we did it for every guest it'd be one thing, but it was pure coincidence where her interview had so many funny things."
On Jimmy Kimmel Live Eric Andre revealed that the stunt where John Cena throws Eric into the shelves actually went wrong, giving Eric a concussion. Eric explained, "John Cena did the stunt right but we prepped for the stunt wrong. That metal shelf came over and clocked me on the head and I got concussed. I went to the hospital immediately. I had like a Fred Flintstone, like Bugs Bunny [bump] on the side of my head."
