Biermann and his editor spent about one year in the editing room in order to finish the film.
Even though the scenes of Nikolaus Firmkranz and Erika Eller were completely deleted from the final film, they still received full credit.
Being unhappy with the result, Ingo J. Biermann cut out 63 minutes of the finished movie, turning his supposed-to-be first feature film into another short. When André Schneider got word of it, he asked to have his writer's credit removed from the titles.
