Los Angeles -- Claiming "Star Wars" fandom used to mean something, so some of us once believed. The George Lucas faithful used to think were in some way different from, say, "Star Trek" geeks or "Battlestar" enthusiasts or, as several people here have referred to them, "those 'Stargate' people."
Then came the prequels and the subsequent blitz of "Star Wars"-related toys, products, clothing, drinks and frozen dinners. So saturated is our with "Star Wars" related products and gimmickry that these days, calling yourself a "Star Wars" fan is about as special as telling someone that you're a water drinking enthusiast or that you're partial to walking.
Some of us, though, are harder core that the average lightsaber swingers. You'll recognize us by our scowls at the mention of Hayden Christensen's name. Be careful if you ask us how we're doing, because we might respond with a diatribe about...

The Grey's Anatomy surprises keep rolling in. The latest is that writer and actress Jennifer Westfeldt will join the cast this season for multiple episodes and will be playing a patient. No word yet on when her storyline will premiere, or any details about her character.
Westfeldt had a role on the recently canceled ABC sitcom Notes from the Underbelly, and is working on Then Again, a Hallmark Channel original movie slated to premiere in 2009.
But Westfeldt is perhaps best known for co-writing and starring in the indie romantic comedy hit Kissing Jessica Stein (2001), in which she tormented her girlfriend (Kissing co-writer Heather Juergensen) with a variety of neurotic objections and ailments before they split and she moved on to aggravate a new (and this time male) partner.

Another guest star will land on "Grey's Anatomy" operation table. It has been reported by EW's Michael Ausiello that actress-screenwriter Jennifer Westfeldt will make her debut appearance on the ABC's popular medical drama series for a multi-episode arc.
Further report states that the "Kissing Jessica Stein" star will not be a doctor at Seattle Grace Hospital, instead she will be a new patient. Meanwhile, detailed information about Westfeldt's upcoming episode, airdate, and role are still to be determined.
In the meantime, Jennifer Westfeldt is working on a new television series entitled "Then Again", which is scheduled to premiere in 2009. On the romantic series, she will be playing a character named Jane. Westfeldt also has made several television credits, such as on ABC's sitcom series, "Notes from the Underbelly", as recurring star Lauren Stone, and on CBS' "Numb3rs" as guest star Karen.

That's a question people ask every summer -- and this time, even the folks attending the 14-day Television Critics Association summer shindig are starting to mull it over, too.
In layman's terms, Press Tour is part of the pre-season game for broadcast networks and cable channels. There's a lot of programming premiering from now through October, and every network wants professional TV viewers to write about it somewhere. Doesn't matter if the review is good or bad, it's all free promotion.
That is why they haul out a small galaxy of stars, experts of every stripe, producers, directors and writers to chat with about 200 critics and reporters who cover television in hotel ballrooms cold enough to prevent glaciers from melting. A little ink -- or, considering the migration of TV chatter online, blog type -- can go a long way for a new cable show trying to plant its flag...
