Thanks to YouTube postings of episodes, the series got a few international fans.
The series was still a hit when it ended. The ratings were reasonable and the show's DVDs were selling. It was SBS Television, not Paul Fenech, who ended the series. During the run of the series, SBS had two legal issues with the show's very edgy humour. This is what ended Swift and Shift Couriers.
Paul Fenech's "Swift and Shift Couriers" series was followed by Fenech's "Housos" series. "Housos" turned out to be a bigger and more popular series, but many agree that "Swift and Shift Couriers" was generally a smarter, more clever, series.
Despite the public interest in the series, Swift and Shift never won any awards.
Season two was first aired in 2011 but filmed back in mid-2009.
