Throughout the movie, Air India flight 182 is portrayed as a Toronto-Montreal-London-Delhi itinerary. However, in real life, the Toronto-Montreal leg was operated using a different flight number (Air India flight 181) but the same aircraft.
Presumably due to quality file footage of an Air India Boeing 747-200 from the 1980s not being readily available to the filmmakers, the aircraft depicted in the movie looks like a Boeing 747-400 with a digitally removed upper deck door (but winglets nevertheless), an incorrect registration (ending in KT, when the plane's registration was VT-EFO) and the airline name on the tail written as "AIR INDIA" (back in 1985, the airline spelled it with a hyphen: "AIR-INDIA").
