Absolutely Unbelievable!
leetwanker14 June 2009
I'm not much of a reviewer but I watch a lot of movies. I've never seen worse acting or a more unbelievable story than this. This takes "Hokey" to a whole new level. Stay away from this one if you put any value at all on your time. I'm not a big fan of the CSI TV shows but I know the main character, Gary Dourdan from there so I know he at least has the capability to act. In this role it's like every line is strained and what's worse is that everything he says and does is completely, utterly, unrealistic. For instance, if you're outside of a bank that's being robbed and your wife is inside, you're not going to tell some stranger that calls you on someone else's phone that somehow finds it's way into your pocket that your wife is inside the bank and go further to tell him her name. This is just the start, it gets much worse, and it's not limited to him, but I'm not wasting any more of my time on this stinker.

Hope you guys find this useful.

Don't Waist Your Time, and Money!

Warning: Spoilers
This is a tremendous unrealistic movie. Everything is bad.

It start swhen the Mercedes front was completely destroyed, after 1 second it was already okay, passing through an impossible roll of situations, and the movie ends with the main character defusing the bomb 1 second before it explodes..... (Classic!! Almost cried.. Wasn't Macgyver available for this movie? Or..Steven Seagal?). But the way he defuse the bomb is the best...I won't tell you!

If you are a producer, may be you should watch this movie, to understand everything you must avoid when you're making a movie. Basically, this entire movie.

One of the worse movie that i have seen
Riders-In-The-Sky8 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, really one of the worse. The story, the characters, everything in the movie is stupid and absurd. I ask myself if it is sponsored by some car constructor, because the car seems stronger than a tank. The main char that doesn't know his phone and loses his glasses but he can see everything without problem, the killer that uses as password the birth date of the other people son (how he knows it?), the guns with infinite bullets, the people in the bank still lying on the ground after the two robbers are gone, then I don't believe in Germany (unlike the U.S.) are allowed rewards for the capture of wanted, the police that says "we have lose the ambulance" (during the chase) while the same ambulance is with sirens blaring, and so many many other absurd things (as the final killer suicide).

You can look at it only for to see how a movie has NOT to be. It is not enough some car crash for to do a good (or funny) movie. I have to remember the director name, so I will not waste my time in the future.

No, no and no
creetar4 June 2017
First I was wondering what was happening, is this Uwe Böll at work? But after checking IMDb it was clear, it must be his twin brother and seeing he was involved in "Alarm für Cobra 11" and "Der Clown" it was clear that all my hopes for this movie are gone. This movie is so bad in dialogue and story that you can only watch it as a Trash-B-Comedy- Action like all those other RTL-shows in German television.

Worst movie of all time
samyueronosake17 April 2019
Because i watched it in a school trip bus i was forced to watch this and i can tell you that this movie is very bad in every aspect and not because it was made by germans its story is a clichê, the dialogue and the acting was prety bad, the camera perspectiv horrible, the car scenes were unnecessary. Overall a waste of time and an insult to the spectater. No need to see just dont.

Not as bad as it looks
caseystone325 July 2010
Fire seems to be one of those movies, that divides people into two groups. The ones that like the movie and the ones that do not understand it.

Only voting 1 or 3 stars does not give the movie enough credit. It is what it is, a good German movie produced for the international market. Given the normal budget movies in this category have, which cannot be compared to the ones in the US, they have done a really good job on this one.

I like the movie because it does not try to be something completely different and this is what it is all about.

hope you found this useful? Thanks Casey

Sometimes the little things count
bdieter3913 July 2010
i just came out of a screening of fire and i have to say its not all bad but its certainly not all good.

The Story lacks a little depth and the acting by some the starring actors could be improved. But overall i have to say that i have seen many movies that were rated sky high here at IMDb so thats why i don't give much thought about these rankings.

If you here about the storyline you clearly know its going to be an action movie and if you take a look at the cast you could expect this outcome. Many of those young actors need find their own way, which will make the whole movie much better.

Nevertheless i liked this movie, as it was good to watch and it had all what you could ask for i an action movie.

So Just Go See It and build up your own opinion BD

Sunday Night Action Movie
stiegler-petra17 June 2010
I recently watched this movie and cannot understand why everyone bashes this movie like it is the worst thing they have ever seen. It is easy to watch and gives you everything you need for a good and entertaining Sunday night movie marathon. The storyline is not so far from the truth and the acting by mostly German actors is promising and believable through out the movie.

Especially the acting done by the young German actress Cosma Shiva Hagen, makes me wish to see her in future productions which challenge her to become an even better actress as she already is. About Gary Dourdan, he needs to learn not to overact and make some of his emotions not as believable as they could be, but overall solid performance.

Enjoy Your Sunday Night...

DOES THIS BANK HAVE A FIRE EXIT?
nogodnomasters15 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This is a thriller that takes place on election day eve in Berlin, Germany. After a foiled bank robbery attempt musician Phil May (Gary Dourdan) is forced to do the bidding of the robbers (Ken Duken, Numan Açar) because they hold his wife Eve (Florentine Lahme) hostage. Along the way he involves a reporter Nicole Hart (Cosma Shiva Hagen). There is also a terrorist plot that everyone believes was foiled that day. The election is about national security with the conservative candidate (Ralph Herforth) wanting to turn Germany into a "police state" for national security...or so the opposition spins it.

It appears Phil May's task is to rescue his wife, the reporter, stop the terrorist plot and prevent Germany from becoming a police state in 6 hours. Being a musician, this should pose no problem. Heck, why even involve the police for such a simple task. The intensity starts out slow, but then builds. The acting is acceptable, but the plot seemed unreasonable even though I just got done watching an Asylum movie before this one.

F-bomb, no sex or nudity.
