Episode title is a play on the phrase "making the beast with two backs", which is a metaphor for two people having sex. The phrase became popular in the English language after it was used by playwright William Shakespeare in his play "Othello" (1601) to describe how a man and a woman having sexual intercourse in the missionary position appear as a single creature with two backs as they cling to one another. The earliest known use of the phrase was in 1532 by the French writer and physician Francois Rabelais in his play "Gargantua and Pantagruel", he used the phrase to describe the King and Queen of giants having sex: "These two did oftentimes do the two-backed beast together, joyfully rubbing and frotting their bacon 'gainst one another."
