Pimpin' Ain't Easy!

Warning: Spoilers
I caught this little gem of a film by accident the other night. I was trying to watch a similar film called "It Ain't Easy" but one done in 1972. The '72 one is suppose to have legendary cult actor Lance Henricksen's film debut. But once I saw Mack 10 , I knew it wasn't that one. But right away it caught my attention as the nice rap music came on and I love Rap so it was no problem for me the soundtrack. Plus in the opening credits it boasted having actors Michael Rapaport, Glenn Plummer, Clifton Powell -Pinky from the Friday film Series- Katt Williams, Denyce Lawton, Sundy Carter and Tawny Dahl from Baby Boy. So I said to myself I have got to check it out. And I'm glad I did.

Yes the story is very depressing and very demeaning to woman but that's how pimping truly is. A very demoralizing way to treat woman and use them and abuse them per say. Everyone involved did a good job. I believe that some real 'Pimps" were involved in the film. Katt Williams was perfect as the Emcee at the Pimp of the Year party. Mack 10 did OK so did the little boy who played Mack as Lil Mack ,Stacey Ford-Waters. Clifton Powell as Mack's dad was perfect. Here Powell got to play his "Pinky" persona of the Friday films raw & uncensored. Glenn Plummer did an OK job as a crooked cop after Mack. Michael Rapaport I felt was wasted in his small role as a interrogating cop.

But all in all, a good film nonetheless. For the hardcore rap fans , I recommend it for the music alone. Well, until the next time, keep that pimp hand strong! ha ha ha....
