June is busting out all over, especially on streaming. Whether it’s hiding from the heat or taking a break from school and work, Disney+ and Hulu are here to satisfying your mid-year entertainment needs.
Disney+ will premiere the first new live-action Star Wars since 2023’s middling to “The Mandalorian” Season 3 and “Ahsoka” with “The Acolyte,” starring “Squid Game” breakout Lee Jung-jae. The series is set before the events of “The Phantom Menace” with a familiar master-padawan storyline but new characters and a new era where that dynamic unfolds. The streamer will also premiere various new options for kids and family-friendly programming, as well as new episodes of “Doctor Who” starring Ncuti Gatwa.
On Hulu, FX comes in hot for the summer, along with an adaptation of Candice Carty-Williams’s “Queenie,” the brat-pack documentary “Brats,” and yes — more “Love Island.” The TV and film library continues to shift with new and expiring titles,...

There's a plethora of shows on TV right now dealing with the paranormal, and they all end up pretty much the same way ... investigative team shows up, interviews witnesses, conducts investigation, hears or sees a couple of really minor things, ultimately finds nothing, and then we roll credits. If you dig that sort of thing, A&E has a brand new show on the way to give you more, more, and more!
According to Variety A&E is upping its commitment to the world of ghosts, ghouls, and the unknown. With "Paranormal State" and "Psychic Kids" already on the programming slate, the network has ordered an unscripted docu-pilot called "The Unexplained" from Doug Liman.
In the pilot a five-year-old boy talks about his previous life experiences and claims he was actor George Raft, a movie star from 1930s. Air Extreme is set to produce. Liman and Russ Stratton will exec...

While the brand new movie Paranormal Activity is, er, knocking 'em dead at the box office, other ghostly spirits have been haunting us for centuries - and not all of them should be welcomed with open arms, according to experts. Appearing on a special Halloween edition of CNN's Larry King Live Friday, a host of ghosthunters, paranormal activists and psychics - as well as ghost victim Joan Rivers and Ghostbusters star Dan Aykroyd and his séance authority father, Peter Aykroyd - debunked the disbelievers, often with jaw-dropping stories. Rivers delivered a seriously convincing account about how a malicious spirit was...
