Interestingly, Kirsten’s Season 16 costar and podcast co-host Nicole Lillinthal is among those who wanted the former couple to give their marriage another shot.
However, it’s time to let that dream die because Kirsten affirmed that there’s no chance of a do-over with Shaquille.
Furthermore, the real estate agent has a new man in her life, and by all accounts, things are going well.
So far, the Season 16 alum hasn’t gone Instagram official with her new beau but she shared details about their romance on the latest episode of her podcast.

Clare Kerr and Emily Balch had a rough time on Married at First Sight, but that experience has cemented their friendship.
The Season 17 stars were two of the show’s most trashed cast members, especially in the later episodes.
Emily initially got a lot of fan support as her rocky marriage to Brennan Shoykhet played out.
Viewers slammed Brennan after he quickly lost interest in the blonde beauty without any explanation.
Emily seemed like the jilted wife desperate to save her marriage, but viewers didn’t find out until later in the season that it was all a game, and the tide quickly turned against her.
As for Clare, she was blamed for ending her marriage to Cameron Frazer after a few weeks without giving it a fair shot.

Married at First Sight alum Jamie Otis is currently expecting twins with husband, Doug Hehner. While this is typically a joyous time for expectant parents, Otis was recently candid with her followers about her concerns. So, what did she have to say?
Married At First Sight: Jamie Otis And Doug Hehner Were Mafs Guinea Pigs
Back when Jamie Otis signed up for Married at First Sight and agreed to tie the knot with Doug Hehner as strangers, it was an even crazier idea then than it is now. These days, Mafs is one of the most popular matchmaking shows out there. However, back when Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner agreed to do it, it was an even more “out there” concept.

The Married at First Sight fandom can be brutal at times and Nate Barnes just got a reminder of that.
After sharing a post online, a troll took to the comments to bash Nate, calling him “weak and annoying.”
While the cast usually gets called out for their behavior towards their partners that wasn’t the case in this instance.
Instead, it was about a scene that played out at the Season 15 reunion between Nate and his castmate Justin Hall.
Justin came into the reunion ready for an altercation with everyone, having revealed that he had unfollowed all his cast members.
He also had a major bone to pick with Nate, calling him “fake” and even getting out of his seat, wanting things to get physical amid their heated argument.
Thankfully things didn’t get out of hand, but Justin got a lot of heat for trying to play tough...

Miguel Santiago didn’t leave Married at First Sight fans with the best impression when we met him on the show, but he’s done some self-reflection since then.
The Season 15 alum must have rewatched the season, which is now streaming on Netflix because he recently mentioned his ex-wife Lindy Elloway on social media.
It only took a few years, but Miguel is finally taking accountability for his behavior and he’s getting a lot of support online for doing so.
The 37-year-old posted a rare behind-the-scenes video from a scene that caused quite a stir when it first aired and admitted that he was wrong.
The scene in question was a prom event that was organized by the producers.
Lindy was excited to participate, but Miguel could not have been more difficult — even refusing to pose for a prom photo with his wife.

Married at First Sight cast member Miguel Santiago recently came clean with some shocking details about his storyline with Lindy Elloway, including faking their scenes to control the narrative. So, what did he have to say?
Married At First Sight: Miguel Santiago Had Dumpster Fire Storyline With Lindy Elloway
Despite being matched by the experts in Married at First Sight Season 15, it was obvious to most watchers that Miguel Santiago and Lindy Elloway were not a good match. Their chemistry in scenes was off, including their communication styles and the type of validation they wanted from their partner.
Many Married at First Sight fans even accused Miguel Santiago of gaslighting Lindy Elloway in scenes. Viewers have said, over the last few seasons specifically, how the Mafs matches don’t seem as authentic now. Based on what Miguel recently had to say, it looks like there was a big reason for that.

There’s a slew of new Married at First Sight fans thanks to Netflix and after binging the latest seasons, they want answers.
Season 15 star Miguel Santiago provided much of that in a recent interview where he confessed to putting on a show for viewers.
Miguel and his ex-wife Lindy Elloway weren’t happy with how their marriage was portrayed, so they tweaked their onscreen behavior.
However, despite selling fans a love story that we bought hook, line, and sinker — at least for a little while — Miguel admitted that behind the scenes things were rocky between them.
We saw cracks in the couple’s relationship early on as Lindy wasn’t shy about telling the other women about her issues with Miguel.
The problem, however, was that during the group scenes, she would change her tune and pretend things were great with their marriage.
Despite riding things out for a...

Married at First Sight cast member Lindy Elloway recently threw some considerable shade at her Lifetime ex, with a not-so-subtle dig at Miguel Santiago. So, what did the marriage experiment alum have to say?
Married At First Sight: Lindy Elloway And Miguel Santiago Were Not A Good Match
As longtime Married at First Sight fans have seen, despite touting themselves as “experts,” the panel of matchmakers, led by Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson, doesn’t have the greatest success rate. Fans may love them for their commentary in scenes, however, when it comes to matching couples, they have not had a very good track record, particularly over the last few years.
One of the many poor matches they’ve made included Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago. When it came to these two, they seemed to constantly trigger one another, to the point where it was hard to tell...

Matthew 25: 35-40 in the Bible says that giving to the unhoused is akin to giving to the lord directly: “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” For Angel Studios, the distributor hopes its unique style of generosity toward its top filmmaker will be a benefit unto themselves as well.
Angel Studios has a 10-year overall film deal in place with Alejandro Monteverde, the director of last year’s “Sound of Freedom” and this year’s “Cabrini,” to direct and produce at least five more theatrical films. Lindy Elloway threw shade at a “toxic ex” in a recent post, and you can call us shady but the first person that came to mind was Miguel Santiago.
We’re not the only ones who immediately thought of Lindy’s ex-husband at the mere mention of the word toxic.
After she posted the message several people took to the comment section to bash Miguel for how he treated his wife during the eight-week process.
We witnessed their rocky relationship during Season 15 and although the couple opted to stay married on Decision Day, they couldn’t sustain the relationship.
In February 2023, Lindy announced their divorce, stating that Miguel was not committed to the success of their marriage.
Since then, the Married at First Sight alum has been happily single, and now Lindy has set some standards for her next relationship.

Alejandro Monteverde delivered Angel Studios its top hit ever with Sound of Freedom, one of 2023’s biggest theatrical success stories with more than $250 million at the global box office. Now, the faith-based outfit has signed the director to a rich overall deal with some curious terms, including the purchase of a multimillion-dollar home for him.
According to Angel Studios SEC filings that lay out the terms of the deal, Monteverde, 46, has inked a 10-year agreement with the faith-based studio that will see him direct five to 10 theatrical films. It comes during a time of industry contraction that is seeing traditional Hollywood companies jettison expensive overall deals.
But this deal comes with some interesting stipulations. The potential films from Monteverde will have to be deemed “theatrical worthy” in a rating system from the Angel Guild, the studio’s paid membership service that gives members (now numbering more than 300,000, per the company...

Lots of ways to describe how bad it is for theaters. Here’s one: A year ago, the #2 film “The Little Mermaid” grossed $41.4 million; this weekend, the top four films grossed $44.4 million combined.
“The Garfield Movie” (Sony) took over #1 with $14 million and a 10-day total about $2 million better than last week’s #1, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” (Warner Bros.). George Miller’s $160 million-budget prequel dropped 59 percent from a disappointing start and is in a tight battle for #2 with “If” (Paramount). The family fantasy with Ryan Reynolds tentatively stands at $50,000 ahead; to its credit, WB wasn’t aggressive in its estimate. (Tomorrow will tell the actual result).
The good news is that we have touched bottom for the summer, and it will get better from here. Both “Garfield” and “If” had strong holds: “Garfield” dropped 41 percent in its second weekend after a holiday Sunday, and “If” dropped 33 percent and now is at $80 million.

It’s a fairly rare weekend at the box office when there are five new wide releases, but it’s even rare when none of those movies even crack the top six. Read on for the weekend box office report.
After one of the worst Memorial Day weekends in decades, the transition weekend between May and June wasn’t going to be much better with none of the new releases opening in more than 2,000 theaters. That wasn’t helped by the fact that Disney, the one major studio in the mix, decided to dump their latest well-reviewed movie into a few hundred theaters with very little fanfare.

Over its long history of 17 seasons so far, Married at First Sight has had a string of villains. At least one cast member every season rubs viewers the wrong way. In some cases, there may be even more than one cast member that viewers love to hate.
Some notable Married at First Sight villains over the years include the likes of Matt Gwynne, Chris Williams, Molly Duff, and more. While these types of cast members are horrible for whoever they are married to, they are great for drama, and great for getting people to tune in.

Memorial Day is usually one of the biggest and best weekends at the box office, but the warped year that is 2024 at the box office continued with neither of the new wide releases blowing up. Read on for the weekend box office report.
Going into the weekend, George Miller‘s prequel, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” had scored impressive reviews after its Cannes Film Festival debut with 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, and Warner Bros. had the film’s stars, Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, just about everywhere promoting the movie. It ended up making $3.5 million from Thursday previews beginning at 3pm, which was less than the $3.7 previews for “Mad Max: Fury Road” back in 2015. It ended up making $10.2 million on Friday, including those previews, which was not a good sign it might reach the $40 million plus projected in advance. Instead, it ended up with $26.3 million over the three-day weekend and an estimated $32 million including Monday.

Warner Bros.’ “Furiosa” pulled out to a narrow lead over Sony/Alcon/Dneg’s “The Garfield Movie,” though that is not much of a victory as the $32 million extended opening earned by the “Mad Max” prequel is part of the worst Memorial Day weekend box office results seen since the 1990s.
“Furiosa” scored the lowest total for a No. 1 Memorial Day film since “Casper” in 1995, while the overall estimated 4-day total of $128 million is a sharp 37% drop from last year’s Memorial Day weekend.
It’s a drop that can be attributed to an industry-wide slump as Hollywood and exhibitors weather weeks of reduced theatrical output due to delays caused by last year’s strikes, including Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which has enjoyed exceptional presales but moved from May to late July and left theaters without their customary comic book film boost to kick off the summer.

Yet again, a new film sits atop the box-office weekend top ten as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga managed to stave off fellow newcomer The Garfield Movie by a mere $0.7 million to take the top spot prior to the holiday.
In its first weekend of release, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga brought in $25.5 million for Warner Bros., allowing it to finish just ahead of Sony Pictures Releasing’s second-place claimant, The Garfield Movie, which brought in $24.8 million during its debut weekend. Meanwhile, this pushed last weekend’s top film If to third place where it added $16.1 million for Paramount Pictures, bringing its two-week tally to $58.7 million. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes dropped two spots as well, landing in fourth place this weekend with $13.4 million. This gives the 20th Century Studios film a three-week total of $122.8 million. Married at First Sight fans have been wondering for years if there is a financial incentive for taking the time to film a Lifetime season. Recently, the Kinetic Content CEO dished on whether or not cast members are cashing checks. So, what did they have to say?
Married At First Sight: Marrying A Stranger Has Proven To Be Popular
Even though Married at First Sight fans largely agree that the show has gone down the tubes over the last few seasons, the premise of marrying a stranger at the altar without seeing them beforehand has been drawing in viewers since the show first premiered.
A decade and 17 seasons later, Married at First Sight is still a popular show among viewers. In addition, with popular streaming services picking up seasons of the show, these platforms are exposing new audiences to older seasons, viewers who may not have been aware that a show like this existed.

The Memorial Day Weekend we’d all like to forget: Any claims to #1 are premature. “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” (Warner Bros.) and “The Garfield Movie” (Sony) are in a battle for #1 for the four-day holiday, but each only estimates around $25 million for Friday to Sunday. (“Furiosa” is ahead.)
This is a holiday release date often chosen for a film that’s expected to be among the top three of the year. Unadjusted, neither “Furiosa” nor “Garfield” would be among the top 50 openers historically for this particular weekend; adjusting to current ticket prices, not even the top 100.
Current estimates for the four-day weekend are $101 million, but the crisis lies in the whole month. May is supposed to kick off summer and it has failed. It confirms that post- “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” box-office depression has no end in sight.

Imperator Furiosa has battled ruthless kidnappers, raider attacks and maniacal warlords as she traverses a lawless Wasteland. And yet her fiercest adversary, at least today, seems to be a lazy cat who loves lasagna.
The Warner Bros. high-octane prequel “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is facing off against Sony’s animated “The Garfield Movie” for first place on box office charts over Memorial Day weekend. Each movie has generated roughly $25 million over the weekend and an estimated $31 million through Monday. Both studios are reporting that its own movie has ranked No. 1. Whichever pulls ahead, it’ll be the worst Memorial Day opening weekend in nearly three decades.
For movie theaters, it’s yet another sparkless weekend at the summer box office — with recent would-be blockbusters ranging from just fine (“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” with a $58 million debut) to disappointing (“The Fall Guy” with a $27 million debut; “If...

The Memorial Day box office is no picnic this year
Based on Friday numbers, George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga or The Garfield Movie may only open to $31 million to $33 million from 4,035 theaters over the four-day holiday, the worst Memorial Day opener in 40 years, give or take.
The two films are in a closer-than-expected race, but most rival studios expect Warner Bros. to take the top spot with Furiosa ahead of Sony and Alcon’s Garfield movie. Neither film aced it with audiences, with each receiving a B+ CinemaScore. Furiosa grossed $10.2 million on Friday, versus $8.4 million for Garfield. That’s not a big gap considering the latter is a family film.
With no holdovers to contribute in a massive way to the Memorial Day picnic, overall revenue may only clock in at only $125 million, the lowest showing in more than two decades. That excludes 2020 and 2021, when the pandemic was still raging,...

The Terry Chen-led “Sight” hits theaters on Friday, where viewers can learn the true story of Dr. Ming Wang’s journey to becoming a world-renowned eye surgeon.
“Rarely have we seen the strength and resolve of Chinese-Americans shown in a powerful way on the big screen,” producer David Fischer said in a statement. “After spending years bringing ‘Sight’ to life, Angel Studios is the perfect partner for audiences who want to be inspired by Dr. Wang’s story of hope, perseverance and freedom.”
The film is based on Dr. Wang’s autobiography, “From Darkness to Sight: A Journey From Hardship to Healing,” and the film was written and directed by Andrew Hyatt. “Sight” was produced by Fischer for Open River Entertainment and Darren Moorman for Reserve Entertainment.

As absurd as it is to say about a film that ends with an onscreen Qr code imploring viewers to “Pay It Forward,” “Sight” probably would be better if it was preachier. At the very least, it would be more memorable.
The latest project from Angel Studios, “Sight” certainly looks and feels like the type of cheap contemporary Christian cinema that both its production company and its director specialize in. But whenever the movie looks like it might go full Christian medical drama a la the inexplicably Oscar-nominated “Breakthrough,” it always pulls back from launching into a sermon. Sure, there’s a kindly nun and an unbearable syrupy sweet church scene, but by the end of “Sight,” it’s not particularly clear how devout main character Ming Wang is to Christianity, or if he’s even a believer in the first place.

Call “Sight” a stealth faith-based movie and you won’t be far off the mark. For the most part, it’s a respectful but unremarkable biopic about Dr. Ming Wang, a Chinese-born, Nashville-based eye surgeon whose innovative use of amniotic membrane contact lenses has helped restore the eyesight of millions of patients, many of them children. But the end, which contains a Qr code much like distributor Angel Studios’ summer blockbuster “Sound of Freedom” did last year, features the real Dr. Wang — one of the film’s executive producers — in a sequence where he credits his success as having been possible “only with God’s grace,” after he was able to “open myself to God.”
Judging from the time-tripping scenario cobbled together by writers John Duigan, Buzz McLaughlin and director Andrew Hyatt, Wang’s road to Damascus was a rugged one. The decades-spanning story covers his traumatic childhood in Hangzhou,...

The Memorial Day bump that has helped so many franchise installments before will certainly be in play for George Miller‘s return to the post-apocalyptic world of Mad Max with “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” a prequel that tells the earlier story of Charlize Theron‘s character from “Mad Max: Fury Road.” This one stars Anya Taylor-Joy as the title character, joined by Chris Hemsworth as a new antagonist called Dementus, as well a mix of new characters and ones that appeared in “Fury Road.”

Chicago – One of the most reliable and relatable character actors in film is Greg Kinnear. The actor, Oscar nominated for “As Good As It Gets,” has been working steadily in film and TV ever since he made a splash on the scene with “Talk Soup.” From there he was cast in the remake of “Sabrina,” and his roles ascended from there. His latest film role is in “Sight.”

The ladies from Married at First Sight Season 16 are poking fun at their D-list status after gaining reality TV fame.
Gina Micheletti, Kirsten Grimes, and Nicole Thielk shared plans for a fun new project, and Mafs fans are excited.
The Nashville wives formed a close bond during their time on the show, although it wasn’t a happy ending for Gina and Kirsten.
Gina’s marriage to Clint Webb crashed and burned before it even got off the ground, as their lack of chemistry prevented the relationship from moving forward.
Kirsten’s marriage to Shaquille Dillon had potential, but it seems he was scared off by her high-maintenance lifestyle.
Thankfully, Nicole had more luck than her castmates, as her marriage to Chris Thielk is the only success story among the Nashville cast.
However, while the marriages failed, the friendships thrived, and now the Season 16 besties are ready for a new adventure together.

“Garfiosa”? “Furiofield”?
Whatever the portmanteau for this Memorial Day weekend’s dual release of “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” and “The Garfield Movie,” the two newcomers are aiming to jolt the sluggish summer season.
“Furiosa,” the fifth entry in director George Miller’s post-apocalyptic “Mad Max” series, looks to lead the way with $40 million to $45 million from 3,750 venues over the four-day holiday weekend. Sony’s animated “The Garfield Movie” should trail in second with $30 million to $35 million from 4,000 venues between Friday and Monday. Box office comparisons to the same holiday weekend in 2023 will be tough given that Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” remake took the crown with $118 million.
Warner Bros. spent $168 million on “Furiosa,” not including the many millions to market the movie. It’s not expected to live up to the debut of its predecessor, 2015’s “Mad Max: Fury Road,” which captured $45 million over three days. That film, led...

Married At First Sight: Dramatic Scenes Between Justin Hall And Alexis Williams
There were a lot of dramatic scenes between Justin Hall and Alexis Williams during Season 15 of the franchise. Justin was looking for a loving wife. In Alexis’ case, she wanted a dominant partner who would take charge in the relationship.
As Married at First Sight fans have seen over the years, even when cast members go through the experiment and do their best, sometimes both people want different things in the end. This couple ultimately split, which wasn’t a major surprise to fans.

It’s hard to forget the emotional moment from Season 15 between Justin Hall and his dog, Mya.
However, we’re excited to announce that there’s a happy ending to the story.
Justin had Married at First Sight fans excited when he shared a recent post of Mya, who is finally back home after a lengthy period of behavioral training.
Things took an unfortunate turn when Justin married fellow dog owner Alexis Williams and they attempted an introduction between the two pets.
That resulted in Alexis’s dog, Newton, being attacked by Mya, who had shown aggression and other issues in the past – something Justin neglected to share.
Ultimately, Alexis clarified that she was uncomfortable around Mya and insisted that Justin remove her from the home.
Left with a choice of his dog or his marriage, the 34-year-old chose the latter and Mya was sent to a facility for training...

Married At First Sight: Season 17 In Denver Was A Dumpster Fire
Lifetime may already be trying to shift to the upcoming Married at First Sight Season 18 in Chicago, but, that doesn’t mean viewers have forgotten about what a terrible season the Denver season was. It will easily go down as the worst season in franchise history.
Not only did none of the couples from the Denver season stay together, but, there was even a plot to dupe producers, and more. The Denver season seemed to expose a lot more clout chasing than people who were looking for genuine relationships.

Married at First Sight Season 17 has finally come to an end and honestly, we’re happy to bid goodbye to the Denver cast forever.
Their last hoorah was a Where Are They Now special that gave an update on the cast six months after they filmed the tumultuous reunion.
The relationships between the men and their ex-wives are just as fractured as the last time we saw them, except for Michael Shiakallis and Chloe Brown.
Although their marriage also ended in divorce, the couple had a less contentious split than the others.
In the final episode, the pair said they wanted to stay in each other’s lives, even if it was just as friends.
However, quite a bit of time has passed since they filmed the special so have things changed between Michael and Chloe?
