Sitting down to watch the 2018 Thai romantic comedy "Gravity of Love" without ever having heard of it. However, with it being a romantic comedy, I pretty much assumed that it would be a run-of-the-mill romantic comedy delivered by director Theeratorn Siriphunvaraporn.
However, I have to say that "Gravity of Love" was somewhat lacking a key ingredient. Sure, the movie was watchable, but for a romantic comedy, then the movie was fairly devoid of comedy elements, and the romantic aspect of the movie would have worked better if the script had been thoroughly written coherently, and also if there was a speck of chemistry between lead actress Jarinporn Joonkiat and lead actor Pakorn Chatborirak.
And it didn't really help to promote the movie much that the character gallery in the movie was fairly mundane and not particularly interesting or detailed.
Yet, I managed to sit through "Gravity of Love" to the very end, though I was only mildly entertained. I have to say that there are far better romantic comedies in the Thai cinema, in comparison to "Gravity of Love". This is hardly a movie that I will be returning to watch a second time.
I guess that the script for "Gravity of Love" might have appeared better on paper than it did in transition to the screen, because this was a fair generic and bland romantic comedy.
My rating of "Gravity of Love" lands on a mediocre five out of ten stars.
