Kasel, an apprentice knight, spends his days being trained by his best friend, Clause. One day, Demon sightings are reported near the town, and Clause is sent to investigate.
Kasel and Frey reach the King's Forest, and find the corpses of the scouting party that came before them. However, they are unable to find Clause, and are attacked by Demons.
Dominix explains to Kasel and Frey what really happened 100 years ago, when King Kyle fought and seemingly defeated the Dark Lord Angmund. With Demonic activity on the rise, Dominix believes it is time for Kasel to go on a journey of his own.
Kasel and his companions reach the Forest of Elidora, and is greeted by Selene, an elf. She agrees to lead them to their destination, but neither she nor the rest of the forest hide their resentment towards humans.
With the Demon threat vanquished, Kasel meets Lorraine, the Great Sage of the Forest of Elidora. He asks her to unseal the Holy Sword for him, but to his surprise, she declines.
Riheet and the Black Edge continue to score victories against the rising Demonic threat. The princess of Orvelia, Scarlet, notices their achievements and welcomes their help. However, not all of the nobles feel the same way.
The party stops by a small village to resupply. There, they meet a group of refugees who lost their homes to a Demon attack. Among them is Elise, who has a look in her eyes that strongly reminds Frey of someone else in the past.
Our heroes comes to a new village and this time the Demons are the undead. They pretty much slaughter everyone in that village, will be there some survivors or not?
A new threat shows: Marduk, the sorcerer who will bring back the Dark Lord. This mysterious sorcerer has a deepest link to the royals than whoever can imagine.

Orvelian army camps at Elise's village; Scarlett tells Riheet the Black Edge is gone. Furious, he confesses revenge against Orvelia for dark elf discrimination, surprising Scarlett.
Kasel and Roi, traversing rocky plains, face undead attackers. Roi, recognizing one as his former teammate, reveals a tragic past involving demonic traps, undead transformation, and a rescue by Dominicus.
Kasel and friends face harsh winds at Mountain. Frey's magic saves them, but Kasel, feeling responsible, attempts a solo journey. In parallel, Scarlet's army, led by Riheet, seeks the Tower of the Sage for truth about Illya's false sword.

Scarlet and Riheet reach the Tower of the Sage. Riheet uncovers Illya's innocence, the false sword tale, and his own lineage. He agrees to aid Scarlet in finding Kasel.
Guided by Pavel, Kasel and friends face an attack from Malduk, Maria, and resurrected Angmund in Elladora's forest. Lorraine tends to Pavel's injuries, revealing Maria's shift from Lua to Leia worship, hinting at undisclosed events.
Scarlet writes a letter to Chancellor Behl detailing the Gallua Plains expedition. Kasel's group updates Selene on their journey towards the World Tree, recounting their experiences post-Elladora forest.
In a climactic showdown, Kasel and his friends face Angmund, realizing Eia's significance. The aftermath sees potential for improved relations between Orvelia and the dark elves.
