[Amos is appreciative of Annie's breakfast]
Amos Brearly : 'Ey Annie, if I had you as cook I'd open up a few rooms for visitors at t'Woolpack.
Matt Skilbeck : Didn't know you had any!
Amos Brearly : Haven't, but t'way village is going it might be worthwhile building a few on. Brewery bloke were down t'other day, looking round.
Annie Sugden : Going to make it an hotel, are they?
Amos Brearly : Nay, but they're talking of doing t'place up - modernising, they said.
Jack Sugden : By which they mean turning it into a real Olde Englishe country pub: plastic oak-beams, red plastic seats and copper-plated hunting horns from Hong Kong.
Amos Brearly : Well it wouldn't do business any harm. Way city folk are taking up cottages, and they like a bit o'comfort.
Jack Sugden : Exactly. Imitation country pub for imitation English gentlemen.
Joe Sugden : With imitation married men staying in them.
