As House plays the piano during the party montage, the piece, entitled "Cuddy's Serenade," was written by Hugh Laurie.
When getting lunch with Wilson, House says, "You're a wuss--part wimp, part puss." This is a reference to the same line delivered by the character Mike Damone in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."
House says, "To put it in terms you might better understand: if you don't split, you must quit," referring to an iconic line from attorney Johnny Cochran's closing argument in O.J. Simpson's murder trial regarding to the bloody glove found at the crime scene: "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."
