Starting at 7:50 the cop rips off the mirror from the windshield and breaks the passenger window. When he comes back to the car, the mirror is reattached to the windshield and there isn't any visible broken glass. Later during the car ride, you can see that the passenger window is still there.
In 23:30, a crew member is seen with a blue surgical mask in the background.
Guedira pries the trunk open with a crowbar in order to rescue Raoul from a burning car about to explode. In the next scene he's running away, carrying a tied up Raoul. The trunk is now closed again. It makes no sense that he would bother to stop and close it in that situation, also because he would have had to drop Raoul, close the trunk, pick him up again and run to safety.
The whole point was for Assane (and us) to see a closed trunk and assume the kid died in there, but this just couldn't have happened.

When Raoul's rescue is explained, Guedira and Raoul are running through the fields, chased by Léonard who fires the shotgun at them. Assane would have presumably heard the shots and realized that something was still going on, and that maybe his son was still alive.
Also, Pellegrini clearly told Léonard he doesn't care about the kid, he just wants Assane dead. Léonard could have just waited around for a distraught Assane to show up at the car, and easily get rid of him.
