Mary Rider has made an excellent drama of its class, and given Miriam Nesbitt a very effective character, in writing this two-reel melodrama of society and the underworld. The plot is not strikingly out-of-the-common, but it is put together with sincerity and is well supplied with heart interest. Miss Nesbitt makes the part of the lady of good impulses but damaged morals believable, by force of her own personality and finished art. - The Moving Picture World, May 1, 1915
