In this episode Abby is mailed a painting as a clue, the painting is of "Vasquez Rocks", a famous film set used in many westerns and most notably featured in Star Trek TOS episode Arena (1967).
The helicopter that was used at the end of the episode was a Eurocopter AStar 350 B2 (N67TV) and is currently used by Helinet Aviation.
When Tony is looking at an ad for the Ferrari he plans to buy with his inheritance, Ziva tells him, "I think you are counting your eggs before they are laid." While the common expression is "counting your chickens before they hatch," and Ziva is known for malapropisms, in this case it could be suggested that Ziva was telling Tony not just that he shouldn't get his hopes up, but that he should wait before he has reason to get his hopes up first.
Barry Livingston, whom plays the real Bartholomew Lemming, is the son of Fred MacMurray's Character (Stephen Douglas) Ernie Douglas on the classic TV show "My Three Sons".
