Astonishing thriller
akishhd27 June 2020
The second episode shows us the evolution and how choices are linked to the storyline , time is what plays this game. In this episode we get to see how and where the Jonas took characters to and how both their world's are interlinked to an unbreakable knot.

Can I rate this show 20?

2nd episode into season 3 and it feels as if they are telling a new story, but still manage to fill in the gaps from season 1 and 2. This is storytelling at its best! I keep looking at a family tree picture that I downloaded from the web to keep the relationships straight and it helps me massively to distinguish the different timelines as well, it also tells me that they are keeping their main timeline and story intact. I love time travel stories and this may well be the best tv-show ever made about a complex and compelling multilayered temporal paradox!

Masterpiece of a third season.
TheFirst0127 June 2020
I know i'm just two episodes in, but I can tell this season will be a masterpiece. How mindblowing it is influences how much I like it. More deja vu's in this episode, which at this point is just gonna be a recurrent theme throughout the season and that's fine. For those complaining about the rehashed plot in the previous episode, give this episode a shot and you'll see that it is totally different. Also, this episode doesn't suffer from the sophomore episode treatment which in most shows are mostly boring because it's just the second episode. I give Dark props for evading that. I give this episode a 9.3/10.

Solid Episode

Warning: Spoilers
The episode was good filled with some great Moments. But i think there are things that needs to be answered. For e.g. Like the Middle Jonas said he never met the alt. Martha if that's the case then how did he survive the apocalypse? Also in the ending of season 2 we saw that the explosion from the apocalypse will destroy the Kahnwald's house but the house is as good as new. There are some inconsistencies that needs to be addressed. Otherwise great work.

The identity of triple garotter hasn't been revealed yet. Or even hinted at, if I remember properly

Warning: Spoilers
Well, Charlotte apparently didn't die in the apocalypse along with Clausen and Wöller, so she must have made it to older Elisabeth in 2053. Well, and Franziska made it with older Jonas, Magnus and Bartosz to 1888. So bad luck looking for them in this timeline. Almost every scene involving old Ulrich is really heartbreaking. It's funny that Ulrich is a piece of garbage, but two of the most heartbreaking moments in the show are with him. The show was able to humanise him despite his terrible flaws. Killing Jasmine was necessary probably so eventually Alexander can take over the power plant, since Claudia dipped, Jasmine was kinda like her right hand woman, so second in command, i guess. If Martha is Eva in her world's future, it's interesting that that world's traveling device is a small golden sphere akin to an apple. It seems likely that we're supposed to draw parallels between the "original sin" and Martha using her apple of Eden device to introduce a new form of travel (and knowledge of good and evil / light and shadow?) to Jonas/Adam. My only complaint with this show is that if you just blink you could miss something important. It is complicated, and doesn't stop getting more so until the end.

Still 99% confusion 1% explanation
nicofreezer24 October 2021
Boring... Because there is still no plot at all, just évent After another without logic. Nothing New happen, way too much drama but the characters, make it cheesy. I really wish Dark had a plot but After 20 épisodes there is still not a single explanation.

Now they want to find the beggining to prevent the loop to happen all over again. So do it for god sake, why are they giving us so Manu useless scenes and useless characters, like the girl and her dad. 6 épisodes to go and I Hope dark will Come up with anything logical at last but I dont think its gonna happen. Einstein would become crazy of he could watch that nonsence.

Disappointed
leosnery29 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Back in 2017 Dark was one of my favourite series, now I can barely watch it.

I feel as they extended the plot too much. For me, the series could have ended in season one, but started watching season two (and rewatched season one to remember everything) with new eyes. But then the season ended with a new plot direction and basically a new world, which made me really keen on keep watching.

This second episode was what basically made me stop. My metric for when something I'm watching is boring is whether I grab my phone to do anything else, and it's quite rare for me to do so, but during this episode I did it several times.

So yeah, I'm writing this fustraded and disappointed because I see that people are liking it due to the high ratings but I just simply can't anymore.

You can feel the slow build to an amazing climax already
shweta-5165729 June 2020
What a fantastic episode.. You can sense the thread is slowly unravelling itself bit by bit. The episode has some great moments in it. The music adds to the suspenseful atmosphere and it greatly adds to the tension and burden carried by our characters.

We get a glimpse of Elisabeth and her father making sense of their loss and confusion in the aftermath of the apocalypse. We also learn a bit more of this new Martha's world. Katherina has a few standout moments in this episode though.

Cant wait to keep watching!

The plot is slowly building...
beatlebass-4095727 June 2020
The first two episodes definitely feel like they are setting the stage for what's to come. The season so far feels like a puzzle and we are only connecting the first few pieces, but you can tell it is unfolding in to something bigger.

Fascinating and thought-provoking

Warning: Spoilers
Only the second episode in and yet the twists and turns are coming thick and fast. New mysteries and puzzles for us to ponder over and it's taking us to the very edge of our intellectual capacity (well, mine anyway!). Fascinating and thought-provoking stuff and immensely creepy with it.

It was one of the best movies I've ever seen and the movie was completely unpredictable and made me want to challenge myself, you created very beautiful scenes and I could totally feel like I was a twin and cry with the characters. That was perfect. And the actors played so well that I didn't want to imagine for a moment that this is a movie and not reality. And honestly, my expectations for watching the movie have increased and I became interested in this director and the styles of the filmmakers, I hope everyone will have the experience of watching the dark movie and enjoy it. And my big conclusion was that I hope the time machine will not be built.

Pairing Up
Hitchcoc4 December 2023
This is a masterpiece of putting characters in close proximity to their counterparts across different times and places. They even go to the nineteenth century to show what is happening there. The cool thing is the lack of knowledge of those whom you are in close association with in your own time. One character that I don't understand is the guy with the garrot who strangles people who don't understand why they must die. That trio shows up, with disdain and anger all over their faces, striking fear, but to what end? So the next episode should be full of answers because there isn't that much left.

It's a really good episode
gedikreverdi3 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The teenagers are back in the 19th century in a machine factory with the Martha from the parallel universe. Claudia Tiedemann is one of my favorite characters and she's one of the very few survivors. Charlotte found Ulrich in the psychiatric facility. Tronte suffocated the older Claudia who's fighting cancer so that he could save her (!) The mute girl and her father are the other survivors and her mother is with her in the future. The old Martha said there'll be an apocalypse in her world in three days.
