Not one of the greatest.

Susan has been spending hundreds speaking to a psychic, Zelda, her predictions have been worryingly accurate, her latest though is Ben's death, Thursday at 9.04.

It isn't a classic, but it's not bad, there are some funny moments, including the champagne scene, where you can visibly see Lindsay and Wanamaker having fun together.

Anna Chancellor is good fun as Zelda, although someone of her considerable talents did deserve a more challenging part.

Roger and Abi are at their most irritating here.

Amusing 6/10.

A right old mess of an episode

Paul Minett and Brian Leveson are good writers, this episode not only has Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wannamaker present, but also a good guest in Anna Chancellor, and yet it's still a mess.

'My Family' seemed to get lost in terms of tone at times in this 8th series, with it missing the opportunity to go for heartfelt when Ben is told by Susan's medium that he is going to die, instead spending a lot of time devoted to the couple trying to have a quickie before his time is up.

Add into that a silly side plot about Roger trying to make friends by first going out for drinks with Michael, and then to poker with Ben, and you get a right mess of an episode.
