Paul Haggis’ bright spot on his resume would have to be his Oscar-winning film Crash, its just his other two (In the Valley of Elah and The Next Three Days) that weren’t as well-received. He is also credited with being a part of the writing team for Casino Royale. So with a few hits and misses, the director is set to helm a brand new movie and will reunite with a familiar face.
THR has word that Haggis will reteam with his Crash co-writer Bobby Moresco for a Canadian film called Paris. There aren’t too many details about the movie itself, but the trade reports that the film will be a political drama. does come from screenwriter Dawn Kusima, who last directed the 2008 documentary After Iraq, which focused on the issues of post-tramatic stress disorder affecting soldiers returning from Iraq.

Haggis is heading to Canada!
Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco may forever live in the shadow of 2005's Oscar-winning "Crash," but the writers are taking on another project together. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Haggis and Moresco are set to work on the Canadian political drama "Paris" together, penned by screenwriter Dawn Kuisma ("After Iraq").
While "Paris" is still in early days with no casting decisions made, Haggis doesn't plan to think twice about what critics have to say. "I don’t pay much attention to the press," he told IndieLondon. "My films always get good reviews and bad reviews. I just try to make the best film I can."

Paul Haggis will probably be forever tagged with his divisive Oscar-winning film Crash, despite the fact that he has had a hand in films that were quite well-receieved by most (he was part of the writing team for Casino Royale) and directed two films that are far less likely to create big reactionary emotions, In the Valley of Elah and The Next Three Days. Now Haggis and his Crash co-writer Bobby Moresco are going to work together once more on a Canadian film called Paris. THR [1] calls the film a political drama, but that's just about all the detail we've got. No further plot description, and since this is in the early stages, no casting. Haggis and Bobby Moresco will be working as producers on the film, too, but the script is being penned by Dawn Kuisma. She previously made a documentary called After Iraq that looked at post-traumatic stress...
