Many don't understand things
JJace9925 May 2021
1- WhErE iS fOoTbAlL?

  • Did you know there was this thing and there's still this thing going on called COVID-19?

  • So yeah, they couldn't film with many people together because it could risk stars getting it and it would slow down production even more. That's why there's limited football. Use your brain.

2- It'S gEtTiNg BoRiNg
  • When real life issues become boring to someone it's because they don't care.

  • The show tackles real issues and hasn't really had bad writing for 3 seasons straight, not even The O. C. or One Three Hill could do that due to the filler episodes, etc.

3- Don't enjoy? Don't watch it.

I'm proud how this show handles mature problems
ldamena18 May 2021
The characters are mature for their age yet still teens. I love Olivia's sense of justice even if she steam rolls people she loves while trying to achieve her methods. At least she realizes when she's wrong + makes amends: very mature. Her and her mom are more alike than she thinks. Spencer continues being a hero even though he says he's gonna try and not be SMH. And I' worried about Jordan, very risky decision he made at the end off the ep with Spencer's help.

Wow

I used to enjoy this football driven drama. It is no longer that show. It's a BLM driven soap opera. No football in a football show called All American. The focal point of that movement within the show is a PRIVILEGED, whiny, rich kid. I've been fast forwarding Coop's scenes since season one but now I skip through every scene without Daniel Ezra or Taye Diggs.

As tired as I am...

Of seeing the same SJW themes being pontificated over and over in television as of late, All American actually handles it in a way that makes you sit up and listen without feeling preached to. This show had the perfect jumping off point to dive into the things everyone is talking about in the last year or two and yet they still didn't just start throwing it all in that direction. They took their time and considered the story, their characters, and the message so my hat is off to them. This is just about the only show covering these themes that I haven't wanted to turn it off and never watch it again. I think this show started out as one thing and I loved it.. but due to circumstances it evolved into something else. That would typically make me say never mind and find something else to watch but I've been really impressed with the way All American has shifted and grown and is able to tell a different type of story that's about the black community without necessarily making it blatantly about race and whites being bad. There's attention to the issues without blame of race and that's sort of hard to do in today's culture. So I'll still be watching, supporting, and recommending All American.

Football? Hello??
luvbmovees21 May 2021
Wish this show would get back to, you know, football. I really miss that part of the story line, which was what got this show the viewership it's had. It's turned really boring and I find myself tuning out.

I guess it's okay to break the law?
empressoftheflames20 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Olivia broke the law by posting that video. #1 she stole it. #2 she released it. #3 she interfered with an investigation. These are federal crimes. And all that happens is she gets grounded? I understand she's a minor but isn't it discrimination (privilege) if charges aren't pressed against her because she's the DA's daughter? Wasn't that the point of her fight against labels and special treatment? Not to mention she alludes to a DUI on her podcast. And this decision to steal and publish the video had nothing to do with her addiction. It was bad judgement, plain and simple. Actions should have consequences. I understand that the episode was addressing a larger issue but I don't understand why it just dismisses the illegality of her actions. What kind of message does that send? I guess it's okay to break the law if you really believe you're doing the right thing. Not how the law works but okay.
