We've finally reached the end of The Perfect Couple with episode 6, and honestly I'm glad to be here. I had higher hopes for this Netflix series with the star-studded cast. But unfortunately, this murder mystery was not executed well overall. Here's our review of "That Feels Better." Spoilers Below.

Alright. Can we start with the very weird an unnecessary "plot twist" that Greer was actually an escort and the Broderick guy is her brother. He used to organize clients for her, including Tag, and that's how they met. There was literally no point to this reveal other than it being an explanation as to why all the evidence was pointing to Greer but she's not the true killer. I don't know. It just felt kind of silly to me.
The only nice part about this was when Greer just couldn't hold it together anymore and told her kids about her past.

It's time to review the third episode of The Perfect Couple, ironically titled "The Perfect Family," on Netflix. Right off the bat we could see that this was one dysfunctional family. But in episode 3, it's really proven, oh my goodness. Here's what I thought about the episode. Spoilers Below.
I want to first begin with Amelia. Look. As a central character, she's not that bad. But she is kind of annoying and a repetitive sort of character. Like, girl. If I was in your place, I'd try to be a good sleuther and try to figure things out. Don't just go out blurting questions like 'why do you make people sign NDAs, and what happened to Mae Pratt?" Be a bit more subtle so you can actually figure things out.

It always annoys me when the central and "moral" main character does this, and it's no different with Amelia.

Five years after the original "Bird Box" became an absolute sensation on Netflix, we're finally getting a follow-up. While it's not a proper sequel, it is more of a spin-off taking place elsewhere in the world. In this case, Spain, which is why the forthcoming movie is aptly titled "Bird Box Barcelona." That also has a nice alliterative ring to it. But that's about the only thing about this movie that looks nice, as it seems absolutely chaotic and tense.
This appears to be going with a very similar conceit as the original film, with survivors trying to avoid eye contact with the mysterious beings at the center of this disaster at all costs. It's a new group of people in an entirely new location. What will those new elements bring to the table? Let's have a look-see.

“The Lincoln Lawyer” moved to No. 1 on Netflix’s list of top English-language titles for the week of May 16-22, its first full week after premiering May 13. Meanwhile, the first season of “Stranger Things” showed up in 10th place as viewers looked to catch up before “Stranger Things 4” debuts Friday.
Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer” follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. The David E. Kelley-produced show is based on the series of bestselling novels by Michael Connelly, with the first season following the second book, “The Brass Verdict.”
The series also stars Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole and Angus Sampson.

One of the biggest challenges facing independent production around the world is how, coming out of pandemic, streaming finance and state funding can be made to mesh in new regulatory terms.
Nowhere currently is this issue proving more fraught than in Spain, as it attempts to transpose into national law Europe’s celebrated Audiovisual Media Services Directive, which can oblige global streamers to invest in a country’s national production, as has happened in France and will be case in Spain.
Currently, Spain’s draft law requires networks and local and global platforms to plow 5 of annual revenues into European titles, 3.5 off that in works from independent Spanish producers, of which 2 are accounted for by movies and 1.5 by films.
Loud alarm bells rang, however, when its industry bodies discovered a last-minute change to Spain’s draft General Audiovisual Communication Law, now in consideration in Spain’s Congress, which affects the definition of an independent producer.

Three new recent theatrical releases, two of which have grossed over 50 million, all of which were in this weekend’s theatrical Top Ten, share the #1 VOD chart spots among the listings we follow. This rare split is accompanied by another never before seen occurrence that may never happen again.
“The Lost City” (Paramount), “The Northman” (Focus), and “The Bad Guys” (Universal), all available to see for 19.99, split up the top spot. That’s unusual. But what is unprecedented is that only 11 films — one more than the bare minimum — made the charts. And the odd film in did so because of one site’s 0.99 promotion.
The three new releases pushed Sony out of the top spot after two months. Since mid-March, either “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Uncharted,” both now 5.99, have led all charts except for one week at one site.
Sony could easily top one or more chart again next week.

In a further expansive move, London-based Protagonist Pictures is teaming with Madrid’s Mogambo, executive producers on “1917,” for a multi-year, multi-title strategic financing and production partnership.
Announced on the cusp of the Cannes Festival, the deal sees the two companies allying to finance, co-produce and sell up to five films a year, Protagonist CEO Dave Bishop and Cco George Hamilton, announced alongside Mogambo founders Ignacio Salazar-Simpson and Ricardo Marco Budé.
They added in a statement that the partnership will focus on jointly green-lighting prestige third party filmmaker-driven titles with budget ranges of 5 million-25 million, as well as strategic co-productions and development.
Negotiated by Mogambo’s legal director Carlos Segovia and Protagonist’s COO James Pugh, Hamilton and Head of Acquisitions Luane Gauer, the alliance is another building brick for both companies as they seek to leverage co-production to create bigger and more ambitious movie productions.

After almost three absurdly long years, “Stranger Things” Season 4 is just around the corner. A tentpole series for Netflix — at a whopping production cost of reportedly 30 million per episode — the fan-favorite sci-fi show that launched its young adult cast, led by Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard, into superstardom will be dropping new episodes May 27.
And, according to the Emmy-winning series’ executive producer Shawn Levy, it’s going to be “harrowing,” “cinematic” and “epic.” He told TheWrap in a recent interview, “This is so much more story and runtime than ever before, not by a little. By a lot.”
The last month of spring will also see the return of reality series titles like “The Circle” — a social media-driven competition series where players catfish, befriend and flirt with each other with the aim of winning a grand cash prize — and “Bling Empire” — which centers on a group of uber-wealthy Asian American friends in Beverly Hills.

As the undisputed king of streaming (for now at least), Netflix has enjoyed the presence of some major blockbusters. Now, with its list of new releases for May 2022, Netflix is bringing back one of its biggest ever hits.
Stranger Things season 4 “volume one” is set to premiere on May 27. It’s been a long wait for new episodes of this ’80s-tinged sci-fi/horror series and based on the trailers, the wait will have been well worth it. In this go-around, the kids of Hawkins (now high schoolers) will have to contend with the Upside Down once again to go along with the horrors of the Creel House.
While Stranger Things is the biggest Netflix original this month, it’s far from the only one. Mike Myers’ latest series The Pentaverate premieres on May 5 (fittingly: 5/5). Meanwhile The Lincoln Lawyer is set to arrive on May 13 followed by Love, Death & Robots Volume...
