Pretty average movie with good first half

First half of the movie was good and keeps the audience glued with interesting scenes and not able to guess the story, which tells that screenplay was good.

Second half of the movie was too predictable and very similar to Aranmanai 2, which makes the audience feel, when the movie will end.

Not sure who the hero of the movie is, as Arya's role is less prominent that Sundar C. Although some comedy scenes were good, most of them were too childish and boring, Yogi Babu and Manobala and could have done far better, because in Sundar C movies comedy used to the primary element.

It would be better, if they stop Aranmani series right here and don't make any more sequels, unless they bring in anything new and novel storyline.

After Kanchana another franchise movie... from story to scary everything is same as its predecessors.... Nothing new...comedies didnt work out... comedy also same as old Vadivelu template... Easily skippable one....

The ghosts are the wronged characters

One movie where I wished the ghosts would win. They r the ones who have been wronged big time. Confused priorities are apparent. Good and evil are so confused. Disappointed.

Worst of the Franchisee

Movie is totally screwed up, Plot has no hard base or balance, 1 and 2 were far better. Kovai Sarala was the back bone for the Franchisee, now with out her it is like half baked. Sundar should start coming up with viewer expecatition in upcoming movie.

No logic in script. Only flash back story is good. One of the song was also good. So many unwanted scenes is filled for comedy. Totally it was very poor compare to aranmanai 1 & 2.

Rehash of the previous movies

The comedy scenes are very funny with Vivek . Manobala and Yogi Babu other than that the story line isn't very original . Like the Kanchana movie series these movies are getting old . They don't really do anything new . Ghost has a tragic story and is revealed to have been murdered . Comes back for revenge rinse repeat. The only difference this time there is 3 ghosts haunting the place . Sundar C again plays Ravi the guy who finds out about the ghosts and tries to stop them. These movies are standalone movie but with similar plots . Its ends mostly the same with Ravi going to priest /shaman to help exorcise the ghost . These movies are one time watchable . These movies are entertaining when you have nothing to watch . Andrea returns after playing the lead heroine in the first movie this time playing the main villain ghost . Arya is supposed to be the lead character but is completely wasted in the movie . He is missing for most of the movie due to his character being possessed by Andrea Jeremiah's ghost Eeshwari. Arya's role is more of a extended cameo. Its really disappointing since most of the movies promotions made it seem like Arya had a big role . Raashi Khanna is one of the best parts of the movie besides the comedy . She does a good job as lead with what she is given . Sadly like Arya she feels wasted in this movie. Shes made to be a damsel in distress . The soundtrack is good . They need to do something different with these movies they're becoming too predictable . Sundar C being both lead and writer and director was a bad idea it effected the quality of the movie . I heard their might be a 4th movie . He should change it up a bit for the next movie . He should ditch the horror comedy and go full horror. He needs to do something different otherwise don't do another sequel . Ravi should not be brought back . He should play a new character or have someone else play the male lead . 5/10 one time watchable .

Ok ok horror but good comedy

A typical Sundar C Aranmanai movie with lot of emotions, sentiments, comedy and action like in previous versions. Sundar C never fails us to impress with his comedy crew(Vivek, YogiBabu, Manobala). Comedy portion is gelled up very well along with the plots. Horror portion is as usual. Sundar C has set more plots in the movie. If you are a person who is a fan of CONJURING then this movie is not for you. For tamil audience I would say it's a decent typical comedy horror movie and it keeps you engaging till end.

Same Aranmanai again

When it comes to Sundar C's movie, expectations are simple -- pure masala. Aranmanai 1 was one such movie -- although it reminded me of Manichitrathazhu in many ways. Second movie was a repeat. 3rd is also another repeat.

Arya has a firm face than his 3 pack body! Not sure when he is happy or scary! Sampath is as good as always. Then there is a series of good looking women. No one has much role to play. Andrea doesn't lok scary when she is supposed to be! Sundar just repeated the same role as in 1, 2 & 3. We will miss a fantastic comedian like Vivek. Overdose of comedy scenes were avoidable.

Nothing new to watch!

Interesting story.. just go without logic sense as much as the story wise is real

I read the reviews before heading out to watch which was obviously mixed reviews.. something told me to watch it as I to be honest liked Sundar C's horror movies.. to my surprise..after the end of the movie..I still was in thoughts over the movie..it had many illogic scenes.. but the story was a sense of realism.. this time he used black magic as base..which was very good indeed.. the real hero was Andrea.. she was good as the victim..even awesome has the evil spirit..Arya was wastes.. comedy was ok.. but give it a watch if u r into black magic stuffs.

I liked the movie despite I don't understand tamil. Good comedy and interesting plot twists. This genre doesn't offer much these days. I think the director tried few things differentl. Overall, you can watch it ,if you like comedy horror.

Nothing new. Very boring and slow. Songs are just there to increase the run time. Every actor is going around with heavy makeup. Nothing is interesting.

Seriously, the director must thing the viewers are fools!

This movie is a scene-by-scene rehash of the previous versions. Just regurgitated again. This, tempered with some lacklustre acting, unnecessarily larger than life sets, the usual critical juncture of lighting of a lamp at the end to quell the evil spirits. Excuse me?!!! Pathetic!

Far better than Aranmanai 1 and 2. Just watch it. A good horror comedy but not too scary

A good entertainer with yogi babu, late vivek Sir and Manobala Sir comedy. Worked out very well. Nice combo as Santhanam in Aranmanai 1. Sundar c did a great job removing Kovai sarala and overacting artists.

Superb movie, its a combo of comedy, music, thriller and horror. After a long time we laughed a lot while watching this movie. My kid was scared to watch however she managed to watch full movie and enjoyed a lot...

This movie keeps us engaging throughout.. Yogibabu, Vivekh & manobala combo entertains us with their Comedy Scenes..

Climax Action sequence is Very Intresting and keeps us edge of the Seat..

Songs are Good, heroine role has No Importance....

Andreas Performance is Superb.. Sundar c. Screenplay is engaging.. Must watch especially for family audience...

Aranmanai 3 - different storyline unlike Aranmanai 1 and 2. Formula is same but plot is different

Unlike Aranmanai 1 and Aranmanai 2 where 1 girl gets killed because of zamindars either hero's parents or the girl's parents, this movie has a Zamindar who does a thing that Dhanush does to Soniya Agarwal in Pudupettai movie. Who dies and why she is killed and why the ghost wants to avenge it's death and how Sundar C as a saviour, saves the family members who are innocent but not the wrong doers. Same formula but 1 thing is different. Please watch the movie in theatres and have some visual treats. In all the films, Sundar C is the saviour who is supposed to bring the ghost to the place where the ghost can be destroyed forever. Definitely Sundar C had to bring some worked out concepts from Chandramukhi locking a room but here locking a room in temple rather than haunted palace; Raja or Zamindar who forcefully marries a woman because of her beauty but in Pudupettai style; Revival of dead person concept from English movies like the Bride. These are the scenes that makes the movie different from other 2 franchises. Rest of the story follows the same formula from other 2 movies. Climax visuals are definitely watch worthy in theatres. Sound effects by C. Sathya during climax is superb. Last 30 min of the movie has good comedy, good visual effects, twists. Please watch the movie in theatres. It is true that the movie does not manage to scare us even once and it is true that comedy scenes do not make us roll on the floor and laugh. Comedy scenes make our face smile a little and it stops there. Usually Sundar C movies dialogues are witty enough to make us rolling on the floor and laugh. But this is not a big problem. Sundar c knows that his movie does not require a hero who needs to focus only in his movie as his role is not meatier. So he ropes in Arya who was acting in Sarbatta parambarai. So he comes here and there during first 30 min, then exactly at the interval and then exactly at the end. So his screen presence is merely 30 minutes max. I don't consider this as well as weakness of the movie as the story, screenplay, how the movie moves from Start to end makes the movie watch worthy. So it's okay to say that so called hero of the movie has nothing much to do. The story mostly revolves around the Heroine of the movie where a ghost is trying to kill her all the time and another ghost tries to save her. It is clarified after the flash back that the ghost did not try to kill but to do something other and also the ghost never tried to save her. I don't want to be spoiler here. Vivek, Myna Nandhini, Mano Bala, Nalini and Yogi Babu are all good casts but dialogues given to them are not witty enough but passes with average score at most of the places. There are pluses and minuses. Ignoring minuses, please watch the movie in theatre with your family.
