These are not your average people

This show is shallow, full of only pretty people, and I can't stop watching it.

The show you love to hate
teagwo26 February 2020
It's shallow, corny, unrealistic and you will love to waste some hours watching this fools trying really hard to be in love with someone they don't know about. Great guilty please TV show.

Unbelievingly cringy!
RobinFlys16 February 2020
What the heck is this? After five frivolous conversations they are in love? I guess if you throw several attractive, emotionally immature people together, someone's bound to "fall in love". The girls have no indoor voice, only over-the-top staged, loud conversations. The word "like" is used twice in every sentence, sometimes more. All of the guys cry. It's the first time any of them have ever felt *fill in emotion here*. I think I vomited at one point.

So why five stars? Because it's a train wreck and I can't stop watching. My bet is there will be a second season. Ugh.

Alcohol Usage

Perhaps if they were not continually drinking, they would have a more realistic idea of what they want.

Dumb but entertaining

Of course love isn't blind, but it's nice to laugh at idiots who think it could be.

Mix it up
Lysie2429 March 2020
Everyone is too aesthetically pleasing. Every single person who was in this show was gorgeous. They looked like they could be models. If you're putting out a show that wants to test whether love is blind you need to use some average looking people. Can you still love someone you never met if you were face to face with someone who maybe was a bit chunkier, or someone who was covered in acne, someone who was going bald or someone who was way different in height? That's a true test of blind love. Can you love them despite what they look like? Fall head over heels in attraction either way. This show was great and I enjoyed it but I would love to see them mix it up a bit. After meeting each other it was still a test of personality. Add true attraction troubles in there for the next season.

Is love blind?
wildestdxeams21 February 2020
Producers: *we wanna do a 'scientific experiment' that is supposed to show whether love is based on outward appearance* Producers: *wow let's only cast attractive people*

Better than the Bachelor
ghees-2483726 February 2020
Of course it's stupid - cringeworthy at times. But it's a better concept. It's so entertaining. I mean what's worse than 1 guy/girl to 20+ girls/guys? nothing. This is better. I can't stop watching.

offshoot of "married at first sight"
davidm-1422 February 2020
With a few more twists than "married at first sight", this netflix offering does ok showing couples meeting, getting engaged and then married.

the first third of the 1st season episodes have 8 singles moving into a dorm-like studio, with two rows of pods down the middle. they meet each other through these pods, only without the ability to see what the other person looks like. most of us would think this is too little to go on, but, the first 5 couples to get engaged meet in person and are then whisked off to a resort in mexico so they can get to know each other a bit more. this part also reveals the big issue i had in mind - what if more than one person likes a contestant and those people end up in different couples? might those feelings get carried over?

the 2nd part takes place at the resort (and one couple immediately leaves after he reveals a big secret) and allows a few cracks to show in the "experiment".

lastly, the couples (who are all from atlanta) move into apartments in the same complex for 3 weeks before their weddings. they meet skeptical family and friends and plan their wedding.

my favorite couple, barnett and amber, are probably the prettiest - he looks like a missing jonas brother).

cons - annoying music soundtrack

Loved This Show!!
smithdeleshia8 March 2020
My husband and I met online when Personal apps had just started. There were only 22 people in the app at the time. There was no ability to upload a pic. All you could do was chat. It was like being in the pods. We talked for 2 wks, met, broke up, then got engaged. All in the course of 2 months. Social media didn't exist. 20 yrs later we are still happily married. This series shows how social media distracts from relationships. Some of the outcomes surprised me and the Tell-All is a MUST SEE!!

One of the dumbest shows I've seen in a while
cinemagick24 February 2020
Naive 20-somethings ask each other questions sight unseen. No one is realistic in their answers, obviously saying whatever they think is the best sounding response to vapid, general questions. Think The Bachelor mixed with Dating Game. It actually makes me nauseous watching such meaningless programming starring obviously fame/attention seeking contestants. Hosted by some boy band guy that adds nothing whatsoever.

The best train wreck you ever have seen
hannahdgardner25 February 2020
As a person who love science, I love the empirical soundness of this experiment. This show brings me so much joy. It is the painful cringe that I need at the end of the day. I just can't wait to sit on the couch with my dog and wine (I want the same gold wine glasses they use on every ep so... like do they bring them with them everywhere? Country to country? ) and I just drink it all in. anyway, season 2 I am here for U.

Love is drunk, 25-35, moderately attractive
acowan08867 April 2023
I can't help but enjoy this dumb show. Watching these people "fall in love" while drinking themselves into oblivion is peak trash television. My only suggestion: the producers need to throw a few BOMBS in there if they really wanted to test this ridiculous concept. They're all moderately attractive people on both sides, it's easy to say yes because what's on the other side is going to look pretty good. It would really change the equation if you throw some physical disasters in there. It will never happen because Netflix is way too cowardly to take chances like that, but it would make it way better.

Watch for the drama
Calicodreamin23 November 2020
Let's be honest y'all, we're here for the drama, and this show had some pretty good moments in that regard.

Rediculous
mhunts3314 February 2020
Ok...People are either acting or completely insane. One guy is actually crying after telling a woman, in the 3rd conversation they have ever had mind you... that he loves her?!? I can understand the experiment they are in but its just not believable . More staged "reality ". However in this day and age it will probably be on tv for the next 20 years like the Bachelor or Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire.

I personally find this show really entertaining. Could it be staged? Maybe. Do I care? Nope. I really do enjoy watching this and I will continue watching the entire season. You grow attachments to certain people!

Shallow Waste of Time
Toph7216 February 2020
This show is the shallowest I've ever seen. The men are all good looking and fit; the women are all fit and beautiful. Let's have some real falling in love with the personality by having "real people" and not pseudo-models.

A Good Binge Watch
duckonthedam27 February 2020
I'm kind of embarrassed to say I loved this. I think I wanted to cry a little though in the last episode. Some true shocks. I think the experience would have been better if they'd allowed at least 4-6 months before the weddings. Just too rushed, and overwhelming for the participants. I hope they're all doing okay now.

Too much drama but still watchable.
tariqzafar-120202 March 2020
So the show is about not seeing each other and start talking and dating from across the wall. The concept seems like good to me. But then the whole thing is you dont need to think about looks when you know the other person is definitely going to be pretty and will have a sexy voice. But still just watch for drama and stupidity. Could be fun.

Morons on Parade
EntropyFashion18 February 2020
What type of dim wit really thinks you can make a lifetime commitment and decision in just a matter of days? Well that's what the show is full of so we get lots of interviews with these idiots saying things they think are deep. But in spite of this I've watched 3 episodes of this junk and I don't feel good about it.
