As a birthmother who was coerced in my adoption, this whole adoption storyline is just tiresome and perpetuates the "adoption is beautiful BS" that is sold to us by the billion dollar adoption business. The way Regina acts is horrendous (especially in an earlier episode where her character describes adoption as "saving" someone) and saying "our baby" before you are actually the parents? It's not "your baby" until the papers are signed. Being judgmental about the birthmother not wanting to talk about the birthfather is also disgusting. AP's also shouldn't be at appointments. Maybe stories about adoption should only be told by those who have experienced this difficult situation.
