A chilling finale.
Sleepin_Dragon1 January 2020
Boyd knows he's got it wrong, so fully commits to discovering the truth about Joanna, even if it means breaking the rules in the process.

Series two's closing episode is a true highlight, Boyd at his enigmatic best.

The story is intensely sad, and the ending comes as a big surprise, it is so chilling and disturbing. Not the outcome I was expecting. Some really unsavoury ideas on display, and plenty of mind games.

The acting has been outstanding, Eve is captivating, Lunghi and Allam are both wonderful in support.

No wonder so many people tuned in.

Brilliant. 10/1

Total rubbish

What gibberish this episode was. Very disappointing. I was cat-calling to the screen « rubbish ». « As if he would » Boyd surely would not have behaved this way and kept his job? Honestly I though the story in the two episodes preceding this ( « Special Relationship ») was really brilliant. This pair of episodes seems like a different thing altogether. So far fetched that both Boyle and Spence would behave so unprofessionally. And just leaving the vulnerable girl outside when they both think her stalker is on the prowl just seemed to ludicrous on top of a heap of ludicrous decisions he made that night bNo wonder he's been called in to see the Commander!!

Not Believable

Warning: Spoilers
The story was fairly captivating with twists and turns,; however, the "surprise" ending simply wasn't believable. I feel that the weiters copped out. Sure the Dad had a neurotic obsession with keeping his family "safe" -- but that's not the kind of thing that leads to killing one's own daughter. I would have more readily accepted the guilt of an unknown rather than the father.

It's almost as if they made it up as they went along. Even the son's apparent protection of his father by falsely confessing didn't ring true.

I really like the main characters, Boyd, Grace, and Spence. They should have done more with Spencer's dilemma, and Grace's profiling.
