- Host Daryl Somers welcomes the esteemed judging panel - Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, Paul Mercurio and Mark Wilson - the house orchestra led by Chong Lim, co-host Sonia Kruger, who is dressed in a candy coloured gown, and the three remaining couples, who will perform two dances tonight, one that they have not previously performed, the other the Argentine Tango. Daryl and Sonia inform the viewers that the voting lines have now closed.
First to take to the floor were singer and musician Kate Ceberano, dressed in a raven gown with gold fringes, and her partner John-Paul Collins, who performed a sultry Samba. Their energetic, rhythmic and fun-spirited routine overwhelmed both the judges and the audience. After Sonia interviews the couple in the green room, the judges reveal their scores. Out of a possible 10, Todd scored them 10, Helen 9, Paul 10 and Mark 10, for a total of 39 points.
Up next were Home And Away actor Tim Campbell and his partner Natalie Lowe, who added a puppetry flavour to their Argentine Tango. Their inventive, creative and classy routine thrilled the judges and the audience. Todd scored them 10, Helen 9, Paul 9 and Mark 9, for a total of 37 points.
The last couple to perform their first dance were Fifi Box and Paul Green, who provided a smooth Quickstep. The judges were impressed by the couple's endurance over the past week, when they had been recovering from a tumble down the studio's stairs in a rehearsal for the previous episode, as well as their effort, choreography and bravery. All four judges scored them 7, for a total of 28 points.
Kate Ceberano and John-Paul Collins then returned to the floor for their second dance, a slick and classy Argentine Tango. Kate's main reason for signing up for the show had been to dance the Tango, and now she had danced a version of it twice in as many weeks. The judges congratulated them on their slick attention to detail, the choice of music to accompany the routine and its intensity. Todd scored them 9, Helen 8, Paul 9 and Mark 8, for a total of 34 points.
Coming back next were Tim Campbell and Natalie Lowe, who performed an emotional, beautiful and unique Waltz that continued to thrill the audience. Todd scored them 7, Helen 10, Paul 9 and Mark 9, for a total of 35 points.
The final performance of the evening was a stylish and dextrous Argentine Tango danced by Fifi Box and Paul Green. Both the judges and audience were impressed by their intense and sensual effort. Todd scored them 8, Helen 9, Paul 9 and Mark 7, for a total of 33 points.
Then it was time to reveal the verdict and find out which two couples would go through to the Grand Final the following week, and who would be eliminated. Earning the highest score based on a combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes, and thus the first couple through to the Grand Final were Kate and John-Paul, while Tim and Natalie were eliminated having received the lowest combined score, meaning that Fifi and Paul would compete against Kate and John-Paul for the title of Dancing With The Stars Champion in the Grand Final. As Tim and Natalie reprised one of their earlier dances, Daryl informed the viewers that the voting lines were now open.
